Which was only trying to be helpful.
Clearly for people in Madre's position the situation is far more worrying than for most of us. It's a shame that if this does have to be done at a snail's pace (and i can't quite see why it should have to be), that there isn't someway of prioritising the more urgent cases at the expense of people such as me who are more concened about eventually geting the cash back than precise timing.
As to what pressure can be applied. I suspect that MSE is just one of several "best buy" sites where there are forums such as this. off the top of my head i can think of Fool, Moneysupermarket and Martin/Dan probably are more familiar with their other "competitors". Though ING are no longer offering top rates, between them I would imagine that these sites generate quite a bit of new business for ING. If they could be persuaded to run a fairly prominent and ideally coordinated "health warning" against ING on their "front page" until ING had finally managed to sort out the mess, then i think it would put real pressure on senior people at ING to pull their finger out and sort the situation out, or at least keep people far more honestly informed as to what's going on. I suspect that most of these sites are feeling a bit sheepish about having featured KE quite so prominently in their Best Buy tables (despite all the "no one could have foreseen this"/ "we were just telling people the best rates" type comments), so it maybe possible to talk them into doing this.
Has anyone been monitoring the forums on alternative sites to see what's going on there?
The time for an inquest will be after the very last person has received their savings; I would have given up all my interest just to see my money again. If ING/ KE had been honest with us and kept us informed I’m sure most of us would have been happy to carry on banking with them. I expected and could have forgiven delays if I was kept informed but I wasn’t, all I’ve seen is corporate waffle and false promises.
In the meantime please keep your posts on topic. We only want to hear from people waiting for their savings or their supporters.0 -
I cant believe there are 32 people still waiting for their money... after I finally got mine last Friday, I was convinced the dam had burst...
Still thinking of you guys (and gals)... for what its worth, ING will never get a penny of my money again.. 16k went out 2 weeks ago.. and two (me and mrs stonehands) ISA's will be going soon as well...0 -
I am so sorry for people still waiting - as one of the last batch (Tues artnoon) that got paid I know a little bit how you feel & still sincerely offer my moral support. They ought to be ashamed for the distress they cause to fellow human beings....
If you use quotes those that have blanked him have to wade through his tosh ...0 -

People just want to concentrate on getting their monies back and not reading all your waffle!
OK I'm back to apologise to Wadeall. I am a redhead with a short fuse and having read the post by Lesley53 I just feel that I have been totally selfish and my problem compared to this lady's are minimal. And with Wadeall waffling on - well sorry again.
Well, I didn't receive any money, but then again they did say tomorrow. I would suggest that all you people looking to lock into fixed rates, set the wheels in motion. As far as I can see, once you register for an account you are OK and it could take five days for them to get their paperwork to you. Hopefully, by which time our monies should be in our accounts.
Does anyone know if Lesley 53 got her money?0 -
To add to my previous post - I have today pulled out every penny I had with ING- though it could be another year before I see it.
And, to think that until a month ago, I recommended all my friends to ING because they were so efficient!

All I have to solve now is my ISA with Icesafe and my potential compensation from Equitable Life!

Goodnight my friends and thank you all for your support.0 -
Hi
No, didn't get my money yet. Sorry for getting emotional earlier, didn't mean to but I guess when you are stressed by real problems, these things really don't help. I actually cried down the phone to the lady from Kaupthingedge at 6.30 and I ended up apologising to her, it was the last thing I wanted to do but I guess it was that sort of day and the fact she still didn't know what was happening didn't help. I won't go into detail but I want to help my brother who was diagnosed 7 weeks ago and have been waiting for this money to come through. Don't feel bad anyone, you have as much right to your money as anyone else. Good luck to you all. I hope they get their act together real soon, have an idea it is the administrators that are holding things up.0 -
