Hang in there Madre. Best of luck...can't believe you still haven't got your money.
P.S. When is MSE going to introduce the 'No thanks' button?0 -
Which was only trying to be helpful.
Clearly for people in Madre's position the situation is far more worrying than for most of us. It's a shame that if this does have to be done at a snail's pace (and i can't quite see why it should have to be), that there isn't someway of prioritising the more urgent cases at the expense of people such as me who are more concened about eventually geting the cash back than precise timing.
As to what pressure can be applied. I suspect that MSE is just one of several "best buy" sites where there are forums such as this. off the top of my head i can think of Fool, Moneysupermarket and Martin/Dan probably are more familiar with their other "competitors". Though ING are no longer offering top rates, between them I would imagine that these sites generate quite a bit of new business for ING. If they could be persuaded to run a fairly prominent and ideally coordinated "health warning" against ING on their "front page" until ING had finally managed to sort out the mess, then i think it would put real pressure on senior people at ING to pull their finger out and sort the situation out, or at least keep people far more honestly informed as to what's going on. I suspect that most of these sites are feeling a bit sheepish about having featured KE quite so prominently in their Best Buy tables (despite all the "no one could have foreseen this"/ "we were just telling people the best rates" type comments), so it maybe possible to talk them into doing this.
Has anyone been monitoring the forums on alternative sites to see what's going on there?
Troll alert.....you are history0 -

I haven't received this email yet but I have been told by someone at the KE call centre that my money will arrive by COB tomorrow (Friday 7). It should have arrived today. I was told "we can completely understand how you are feeling... if it was me I'd be exactly the same"I got this a few minutes ago:
Dear Mr xxxxx
I refer to our earlier communication in which we confirmed your outstanding payment should arrive with your bank today. Unfortunately your particular payment missed the cut off time with the clearing bank and therefore should now be processed and reach your linked account tomorrow.
Please accept our sincere apologies and thank you for your continued patience.
Yours sincerely

Is it being sent to all outstanding "victims" ? In my case the communication they referred to didn't take place and the funds are supposed to arrive at KE not my linked account, but it seems a glimmer of hope at least.
Have now contacted BBC MoneyBox, made an official complaint to KE (after talking to FSA) and will contact MP tomorrow if the situation hasn't changed.
Another dreaded gut-wrenching Friday beckons.0 -

Updated list of people awaiting transfers 2100 6th Nov
Anyone viewing this thread who is not in receipt of their transfer, please check your name is on the list .
As I will be at work during the day it will be difficult for me to keep a close eye on who is new and needs adding or who is getting paid – I will try my best. However it would be best if people can, please PERSONAL MESSAGE me if you need adding or removing – do NOT edit the list yourself.
The total “missing money” for 17 out of 33 is £ 439,465
14 transfers from 7th/8th October
5 transfers from on or after 9th October
If anyone else wants to PM me their amount and date I will add them to the list!
Yet ANOTHER day with no payments! No more offshore banking for me :rolleyes:0 -
Well its clear that only a proportion of us got this email. Who knows whether it will be honoured, but those who haven't done so should try emailing
alastair.hemmings@ingdirect.co.uk
which I did earlier today on the advice of an earlier poster. He hasn't returned my email and it may be just a coincidence, but this may have been what got me put on the email list. In any case, if you haven't got your money and haven't had an email from KE, it may be worth a shot if you've not contacted him already.0 -
No money.
Had the email saying my money will be in my account by the end of business tomorrow. LIARS.
Gutted to hear you're still waiting....SOOOO sorry. I'm off to a conference tomorrow so wan'y be able to catch up until late Saturday...but will be thinking of you on my drive there. Take care :grouphug: big hugI have money!!!!:j :j :j :j 31st October 3.30pm. Organised by nice lady from E & Y, very, very grateful.
£20 debit for CHAPS received 27th - dated 7th on A/C0 -
Wadeall, The reason people are [still] on this thread is because they have funds tied up in KE/ING
I agree that 'one' should be concerned about interest rates, but not MORE concerned than having money still tied up with KE0 -
Three days before I received my money last week, I made an official complaint to the KE Customer team, via a Team Leader (which has since been acknowledged by letter).
I just wonder if it speeded things up for me, because I got two phone calls from them in quick succession afterwards, then an email, and then my money. Those not in receipt of their money, might it be worth doing the same, just in case, if you haven't?
I'm clutching at straws for you! It was prob a coincidence.
Can someone explain to me if it was our government putting the Edge into administration in an untimely fashion that cocked it all up, or is that too simplistic.:j  :j0
