It's ironic I've been trying to get onto business banking online with RBS since 9.00 a.n. - keeps saying too many people accessing internet banking.. lol.. maybe it's all our transfers going through .. :T

Just logged on and catching up and reading the back pages from when I logged off............
I am wishing all you guys loads and loads of luck today, still got my fingers crossed and hope the cash will start with an avalanche not a sprinkle like yesterday.
Just keep the pressure on until the end.
• Just FWDed my email below to ING's CEO (Johan) and Customer Relations Manager (Richard).

ANYONE in my same situation, please sent them quick follow up email so that it gets their attention. Their inaction is unacceptable.

Their addresses:
Johan de Wit - CEO
johan.de.wit@ingdirect.co.uk

Richard Tilson - Customer Relations Manager
richard.tilson@ingdirect.co.uk

My email to them:
Dear Johan and Richard,

FYI, I have sent the following to the media.

ING has no authorization, nor the power to hold depositors monies at will. ING should immediately return their customers' monies. Any issues with your partner, the clearing bank, or the adminitrators should be work out behind the scenes among yourselfs, and not while holding your customers' monies at ransom.

I've also added these addresses:
metromoney@ukmetro.co.uk
news.london@ukmetro.co.uk
talk@thelondonpaper.com

and have sent the following email to the media. If you user name is in the list, it might be helpful that you SEND A FOLLOW UP EMAIL TO THEM (bcc them). That would get their attention and help them (the media) understand the gravity of this situation.

KE/ING have NO authorization, NOR the power to hold our monies at will. Their actions are bordering a criminal act. My letter below:

Dear Sir or Madam,

There is a group of people, including myself, that have their monies' held up by KaupthingEdge/ING Direct's clearing bank for over three weeks with no clear explanation or deadline as to when we should be receiving our funds. Many of us have received an email from them yesterday, 28 October, explaining that "we are working with the clearing bank to release your payment in the quickest possible way so the funds are available to you as a matter of urgency." We have waited patiently for over 3 weeks and all we get is an open ended solution – we will get our money… one day.

Further questioning as to why it's been held up are quickly answered by a confusing let's-blame-others game that sounds like this "KaupthingEdge (KE) is and has been run by administrators since it was bought by ING, the administrators (Ernst & Young) are in control of everything. We, KE, just do as we're told by the administrators."

A large number of KE depositors have received their monies on KE's own imposed deadlines on October 17 and October 24. The last few of us are left completely in blank. KE/ING actions are bordering a criminal act. They have no authorization, nor the power to hold up our monies at will.

Some of us have gathered in MoneySavingExpert.com forum to help and support each other. At last count (today, 29 October) 92 users have their money help up. The sum held up for 44 of us GBP1.1 million. Below is the list of the 92 users.

An investigation from the media or some media coverage would be very helpful.

Please feel free to contact me if you need more information.

Have also used carlostk's message and used bigg's contact list. Good idea for all concerned. Just been interrupted by a phone call from KE, money cleared and will be in account by Friday. Wow!, 2 mins after sending the e mail. Will believe it when I see it.

Got a call form KE, the lady said I should expect my money to arrive at my linked account by latest friday, it might arrive earlier but no later than friday, it sounds good for me, let's keep finger crossed
• Ok just finished my call and been assured that I will receive a call back from the top person and KE call centre today who is going to contact the KE dept dealing with our problem issues and try and sort my case out. I pointed out I am not looking to 'queue jump' but I did log my call ast Friday which by their own admission was not logged correctly... I would suggest anyone who called on Friday should call again, utter incompetence...

I have this persons name which I with hold onto for now and see if for once KE can keep a promise.

The team leader I spoke to also confirmed that all payments now are being sent swift once each individual case is investigated and sorted, swift takes 2 days...

She told me that they are the KE call centre, who pass the details on to the KE head office dept who are addressing these issues who liase with Natwest (The clearing bank) and the administrators with what seesm very little involvement from ING at this stage.

I really let rip for the first time today when I heard that my Friday called had not been logged and my case was not even going to be looked at until tomorrow...

Told her that my wife is on maternity leave, we had our 2nd child on 13th and the worry caused by not being able to access the money we had put aside for this time is indescribeable... this comes on top of our other savings being frozen in Icesave... I think I might have hit a cord with her...
• Just come off the KE phone number after 20 mins wait . Was told by Lindsey that they have all been told this morning to say that the promised phone calls today will either happen by 12 noon or you will receive an e mail by the same time . If therefore you were promised by KE that they would contact you today and you hear nothing by noon , dont wait all afternoon as I did yesterday as they will not be contacting you ! I suggest you ring again after noon and raise hell with them .

Don't want to sound too pessimistic, but that's exactly what I've been promised for the last couple of weeks. I get the call back (from a Customer Service Manager), but all he says is that it's being looked into. I've never received any of the ING emails, apart from the first one, and apart from the CSM who's supposed to have arranged for me to go onto their spreadsheet last week, I rang KE and alerted them that no money had been received, spreadsheet was mentioned again. I was promised that I should received my money today, but still nothing's turned up. I do NOT believe a word any of them say.

I would not play their game of "let's teasingly feed hope to our depositors, so that we can prolong their missing deposits as long as we can"

Take proactive action. Get out of their loop of false hopes and contact the media, Financial Ombudsman and ING's CEO and Customer Manager. You'll find my letters and contact details in past threads today.

Whatever issues with the administrator or clearing bank has NOTHING to do with us. They must return our monies immediately and resolve their issues among themselves, not while holding our monies at ransom. Unless you are a suspected terrorist (don't think any of us are), THEY DO NOT HAVE THE AUTHORITY, NOR THE POWER TO FREEZE OUR MONIES!!!

Anyone calling KE/ING, don't fall into their "we have administrator and clearing bank" issues TRAP/LOOP.... just tell them: WE WANT OUR MONIES NOW!!! YOU (KE/ING) CAN SOLVE YOUR ISSUES AMONG YOURSELVES LATER! YOU DO NOT HAVE THE POWER, NOR AUTHORIZATION TO HOLD MY MONEY!
