  • Good riddance I say - they deserve it!!

As for feeling sorry for the staff - I cannot believe that they were totally in the dark about the situation - all of us who were unfortunate enough to have had our contracts roll over (unwillingly) at extortionate rates were able to find out their situation and awaited their demise. When they tried to make me pay £1200 per month for a small public house and I informed them that this would cause me to go bankrupt, the response from one of their senior credit control personnel was ' That's not my problem is it?'
It is now my darling! Enjoy!!

There is no crisis here, its very simple just change supplier by finding a broker, most brokers are good or pick a supplier and ring them up, any body would think there has been a major disaster. The only bad thing is for those who have lost there jobs before xmas.
  • I am a customer of E4B-or is it former?!- I am extatic they have gone under- they were making me pay really expensive rates because i didnt leave them in time on renewal!

Anyway, after my rant! what you need to do now is make sure you shop around for a new deal- British gas have took over our supply for the time being, and the rumours in the press is that they are going to put all our prices up!

I had a look on the internet and got in touch with a brokerage firm, they got prices from all the suppliers and got me a better deal than what i was paying with E4B so its worked out quite good for me.

Make sure you get onto a new deal ASAP because you dont want to be paying high prices with BG for too long!

The number for the firm that got me the new deal is 0151 236 0099, i spoke to a guy called nathan o'connor- i think the company is called ESP. You should give him a call and see what he can get you.

    Hope this has helped!:)

British Gas have been appointed supplier of Last resort and will take over the supplies with effect from tomorrow.

This should be good for anyone who has signed a contract in the last 6 months as long as they act now to get on a good contract and presuming E4B weren't offering completely ridiculous deals in that period.

I'm not sure what you are saying here. In broad terms, irrespective of how long the customer has been with E4B, the customers would be in more or less the same position with their new supplier even if that new supplier was someone other than British Gas Business.

E4B customers will move to BGB on a "Deemed Contract" - the rate they are on will be significantly higher than a contract rate, BGB themselves say, "...your supply will continue on the basis of a Deemed Contract. We will be contacting you over the next few days to discuss competitive supply options...You do of course have the option of going to an alternative supplier but we are sure that the contract options we will be able to provide will be extremely competitive."

So they have customers, but they don't charge. Hmmm, are they a charity? Are they independently funded? Where do they derive an income???

Sorry, I couldn't resist. It's just that it looks like a sales pitch.

I'd have been impressed if you could honestly say Powersolutionsuk don't make any money by providing that service rather than they won't charge (credit to ex-energywatch adviser).

I think this should be pointed out as being spam, exactly the same post in three threads (he posted it twice in this one!!)

Note I edited the name and phone number as I dont want to add to the spammy flavour of this thread

I cant believe the level of spamming this thread is getting.

I would urge people NOT to approach a company that has to resort to spamming a forum hawking for business.
