Unity That's right about Nysatgmus there's 3 different kinds I believe, someone comes in now to correct me!
I have Vertical, self explanatory up & down - But I've found that the bigger everything is the slower it seems to go.....
Mine gets worse after epilepsy or migraine - basically anything to do with head specialist says - thinking will be next
LARGE FONTS and BIG screen does help me.
Try putting your screen at 800 x 600 at whatever size monitor you have - actually don't you may struggle to put the darned thing back again.
I'm using Linux and it is dead easy to do.

Wallzone: sounds grim dude. Twas just a thought...:o I hope you get a truckload of help for all that grimness!
Maybe you should ask Santa for a new one :xmassmileCwta wrote:Sweet dreams s/e. Catch you later. BTW, I do hve a microwave, but it's an oldie without a defrost function and it's one where some parts cook and other parts remain frozzeded.
I offered you some, didn't I? Sheesh :rolleyes:Cwta wrote:BZ stop showing off with your cooking! Seriously, well done. I get stressed these days trying to get two dishes ready together and at the same time.

Doh, methinks I was supposed to come up with the list from ex... I know there was Q10 (antioxidants) on there, glucosamine (happy joints), multivitamin and mineral complex (the stuff he sells is stronger than generally available), acidophilous (to aid digestion-esp with IBS- and replace good bacteria frequent antibiotics takes away)... um now I'm blanking... I know there was something that has, um, something (!) in that promotes energy for when you really need it... I'll ask again shall I? :rolleyes:Unity wrote:Has anyone come up with any useful remedies over the years?
Oops, Kevin, I think you just swore and the mods didn't pick it up...wallzone wrote:I'm using Linux and it is dead easy to do.

I rubbed some in during last night when the pain woke me up and when I got back into bed the heat that built up was quite intense - but nice, so I fell back to sleep very quickly.

Raeh, quite right about the dessert - cheesecake needs ice cream with it to cut through the richness
Do you think you should get your GP to sign you off for a week or so after your knock? I can just see it never really improving for ages unless you get some proper rest straight away?
Hope you have a restful night anyway.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break

BZ, deal then. You post me chicken and I'll post your ice cream. Just don't forget gravy with the chook. I'm reet partial to a drop o gravvit.
Unity - I have suspended all supplement taking as I'm so concerned about intrducing more chemicals into the mix, albeit natural chemicals.
I appear to have developed a lot of allergies also and, to be honest, appear to be allergic to all forms of chemo tried so far, and I don't want to risk upsetting anything in the future that might work. Does that make sense or am I drifting already!!
Kevin, nice to see a little testosterone here. I always feel that men get a bum deal as they tend not to talk about their problems whereas women never stop! It's something that's good for you.
Am about to consume a pack of salami, which is my current food obsession. Beats meat and two veg unless, of course, someone else cooks it.
Toodle pip for now.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break

Kevin - Is the 'up and down' Nystagmus less common? I have only ever seen the 'side to side type' - in fact I think my dentist has it, but hopefully it doesn't affect her too much - especially when she's drilling
.
Raeh - http://www.pernaton-uk.com/index.aspx?fls=false here's a link to the stuff I use, but do of course shop around for the best MSE price
:D.
Unfortunately your wishes for a day without snow didn't work in this neck of the woods, I don't know what happened
but I awoke this morning to a covering about an inch thick . It's blowing in from the NW so when I went to let the cat out the exterior handles on the conservatory doors were coated in ice :snow_grin.
CWTT - I do indeed know what you mean about wanting to cut down on anything that might increase the chemical load and aggravate things - how on earth do you and the docs cope when you are allergic to chemo?
BZ I would be interested in your OH's list - I currently take a multi-vit/mineral, B complex, CoQ10, Gingko Biloba and Aloe Vera capsules, plus Glucosamine/chondroitin and a fish oil capsule. To be honest I've found this particular cocktail seems to help me and the only reason I know this is because I ran out of just about everything at the same time a few weeks back. Perhaps it is the Gucosamine and fish oils that make the biggest difference as it's my joints where I feel the increased pain without them - but that will be down to the osteo-arthritis.
If I have forgotten to reply to anyone, please forgive me, not much sleep again last night :rolleyes2.
I probably won't be around much today as DD2 and DS are here today and tomorrow - hairdresser is coming tomorrow morning - and it's his appointment with the neurologist in the afternoon (unexplained bad headaches) so a busy couple of days for us all.

I had one of those horrible emotionally disturbing dreams last night and when I woke up, i couldn't stop my mind spinning. Managed to get back to sleep woth the help of the radio and then was woken at 4am by the upstairs neighbours having rampant sex! Should I offer to oil the bedsprings and cushion the wall behind the headboard??
No snow here. We very rarely get snow in SW, but when we do it's a white out and everything grinds to a halt. i do miss it though.
It's cold and windy here but I am really going to try to motivate myself to go out and walk for 5 mins. I realy need to blow the cobwebs away. Unfortunately, I live on a steep hill - that was bad planning!
Unity - the docs and I sit and scratch our heads a lot and look bemused
 One poss solution was taking just the chemo tablets with massive doses of steroids to counteract the allergy. But last time I had chemo tablets I went into a slow onset type of anaphylactic shock and living alone, I'm not prepared to risk it. Notes are with a professor type bod at the mo who is supposed to be the authority. But we're a long way from either a crisis point or countdown iykwim, so I just put it out of my mind. The big things I can deal with intellectually, it's the little frustrations and niggles that bother me emotionally. Go figure!
To give you all an ickle smile this morning, I was talking to my best friend and we were discussing lookalikees. She reduced me to a qivering hysterical wreck who was very grateful for tena ladies by telling me I looked like Princess Fiona from Shrek!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :T
would have to hate her if I didn't love her so much. Thank gawd for friends!
