BZ, I had the same type of food cravings when i was on high doses of steroids - 20mg a day and upwards.
Awful hunger pains and, even though I have never had much of a sweet tooth and chocolate is so sweet it makes me feel sick, I was quaffing tonnes of sweet type things.
I found bananas helpful to much on or pretzels. Bananas are sweetish and broken down slowly. Pretzels are savoury but seemed to silence the cravings for salt I had.
I always keep thing in for quick munchie sessions for when I can't be bothered or don't have the energy to make a meal.
Saying that, today I've had a piece of cheese and ham on toast, a slice of White choc and respberry cheesecake and a strawberry tart!
Sod the diet.
Tomorrow folks.

You could always scan back (there were mentions of sexual nature around page10-20 I think) or PM?"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

I struggle with having munchie food in that I don't eat or OH doesn't munch through before I get there! I'll have to come up with something. Usually I'd eat a big bowl of pasta, but I cannot be bothered to make it...esp while Grey's Anatomy is on
That cheesecake sounds TASTY!
Unfortunately, while I have no transport atm, I also can't go get what I actually want to eat - and food you're making do with never quite satisfies it, does it?"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

You're safe here and we can be very gentle here with sensitive matters. You never know, you may find someone else has a similar problem and it helps to know you're not alone.
Elsewise, PM someone you feel comfortable discussing with. Please don't suffer more than you have to in silence.

I've come to the conclusion that I've lied to you all. I wasn't spacey off the cocodamol/tramadol concoction - it was tramadol/diclofenac that did it....
I've come to this conclusion as I have inadvertantly replicated the effects and am now feeling like a rocket maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!
I felt I should come clean."I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

Adding my tuppence's worth. I work as a benefit advisor and the people I have seen with ME/CFS/FM tend to lay it on thick and claim they're virtually unable to do absolutely anything 24/7. I can recall various tribunals where claimants (unknowingly) are seen getting out of their car unaided, then decorating themselves with the obligatory crutch, neck brace etc etc. The worst case was when a young girl claimed she had to give up her studies as she was so weak. She attended with her mother in a wheelchair and said she was housebound. yet several hours after the tribunal I seen her in full jogging gear running past my apartment block. Now I appreciate there will be people (like the aforementioned) taking it to the extreme but it then paints the genuine people in the same case IMHO and the genuine sufferers will get lumped into that category by many.
Then there are the (so called) benefit advisors who, believing they pay out benefits personally from their own back pockets - give out incorrect information.
When asked: "So if I can't claim IB because I only have student NI credits, is there a non-contributions based benefit I can claim?" Benefit Advisor's reply "No!" Fortunately some telephone calls are recorded and the misinformation can be traced and corrected - to the tune of £12,000, but it leaves them a bit embarrassed.
Then there are the benefit advisors and visiting DSS GP's who get a little above themselves and insist on interpreting legislation rather than just implementing it - must be frustrated judges without the qualifications - I wonder why?
Thankfully there are also those who recognise genuine cases and advise that you should actually be getting additional benefit - well I say those, although I have only ever met one.
Unfortunately, like the poor, the trolls we will always have with us.
Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever
