Ok... so today I've not slept since like 8.30am (bearing in mind I probably only got to sleep at like 4am) and I'm knackered. I've been really cold all afternoon and succumbed to some cocodamol. I've not eaten for a couple of hours but I've been ravenous ALL afternoon even though I've had, so far: two butties with laughing cow and chicken slices on, 2xhula hoops, Pringles, chocolate muffin, galaxy chocolate, lots of chocolate covered honeycomb nuggets, rosy apples boiled sweets... I daresay I'm missing something from the list... but surely I shouldn't still be hungry? Or at least not ravenous! I'm wondering if the need to feed, and the chill factor, are connected to the tiredness...?

Any thoughts fibro-ites (and fakers ;))?

Is that an oxymoron or a tautology? I can never remember which is which.

Oh dude, don't ask me. I may have an eng lang A level but this fibro has screwed my memory for stuff like that. I'm always using words and then trying to work out if it's really out of context! Luckily most people aren't sure what some of the words mean in the first place ;)

Did you say you were on Ami? I forget who is and who isn't - but if you is one of the ones who is :D then it can give you terrible cravings for sweet things. I would cheerfully have killed for chocolate when I was taking them ;).

ah well if i get virus or whatever ill just reinstall the whole puter from dvds. i usually wind up having to do that once a year anyway stupid windows system.

did someone mention valerian somewhere? i have that, i bought the liquid when i discovered my cat trying to eat my pills....but it only came as liquid with hops in it. the pills are vile but the liquid is much much worse. she only gets it poured on her cushion as a very rare treat as i cant stand the smell, no way i could ever manage to force it down my throat. but the cat loves it, stinky or not, sends her nto ecstasy....even the other very elderly cat who hates catnip and any cat treat things likes the valerian.

Hi PCL - yes it was me with the Valerian, I used to have the pills too, but crumbs they are nowhere near as niffy as the real stuff are they? I have two cats and the pair of them are ecstatic with the stuff - even just getting a half teaspoon of the stuff out of the bag has the pair of them clamouring round my feet in the kitchen. Thankfully the marshmallow root doesn't seem to smell much - or maybe I just can't smell it because of the Valerian :D.

  • the pills did nothing for me so i gave up on them and have never been brave enough to try the liquid, i buy it purely for the cats.
    whats the marshmallow root?

    Sorry zippy, I missed this.

That's one hellova lot of sugary stuff there. Not having a dig at your diet, but that's a huge sugar craving going on.

Do you have any porridge in the house? Halfway decent spuds that can be nuked? Sounds like you need something with a slow digesting bit of bulk behind it. And yes, being tired and cold can have that effect.

Erm... are you taking antibiotics at the moment? I ask, because there is one (and I can't rember for sure which it is, maybe amoxycillin) which can cause a sort of indigestion that gives you an 'hungry' feeling the whole time you're taking it.
