OH is on his way home from the meeting with his area manager to get his hands slapped. He's not lost his job but I fear there will be formal repercusions... unless of course he gets this jobhe's got a 2nd interview for this arvobigzippy wrote:I'm notoriously bad for being anywhere in the morning, so where possible I don't make appointments for the mornings (it does *really* pish me off that my CBT therapist doesn't seem to be able to get on board with that though ).bigzippy wrote:I didn't have a tele when I was at uni and I was looked at with almost digust, but definitely awe and wonderence.bigzippy wrote:I've was never a real drinker anyway, before I was dxed with ME. hope he gets the job, and doesnt get anything formal at this job.
surprisingly the tv liscene people have left me alone, they sent a reminder after i cancelled it, i rang them and told them to send someone round to check and see that my tv did not recieve any channels and they have left me alone since. (said tv has now broken alltogether, i really should get rid rather than leave it collecting dust). and now ive said that they will come knocking on my door.
i used to have a super loud alarm clock, marketed as for the hearing impaired.....it woke my neighbours up when it had been going for long enough, not me. it switched itself off after 90minutes. i remember one day i got round lunch time, to find my burglar alarm going off. when i went outside my neighbours two doors away nabbed me to ask if it had been mine going off since 1am. i always wonder if my smoke alarms would even wake me. the testing of them in uni halls never did, but they only went of for 10mins or so.
aye i guess it is fair to take shiftsgives everyone else something to catch up on.

Hey BZ, Good luck with finding a suitable car and fingers and everything crossed that your OH gets the work situations sorted so that he is happy with it. Such a simple and excellent idea of yours to keep tabs in the car! I can't tell you how many times I've had to say no to something as I have to go home to take my pills.
I did inherit a very pretty little pill box for my handbag, but only remember to use it when I'm going out for something special. Even then, i forget my glasses!
I would be dangerous if I had a brain.
I love radio, current affairs, audio boks etc and am currently addicted to Radio 4 and BBC 7. I have a 90 min sleep function on radio in bedroom and use BBC 7 to soothe myself to sleep as if I use worldservice, it interests me too much and keeps me awake.
I think I use the Tv in the evening as just something to go on in front of my eyes. Vary rarely is there a programme that really engages me. But my eyes get too tired to read in the evenings. Books are reserved for daytime.
anyone who hs digital radio - I've recently been directed to a music channel called absolute (I think?!) which plays a lt of 80's type music. Great and much less frantic that Radio1. I am a bit of a music loved but taste are quite eclectic.
was it Woolfie that went to the Opera? My Mum was a brilliant musician and an Opera Singer, but I never inherited the gene. My Sis immerses herself deeply in it though. Just something else genetically that passed me by!
For those who don't have TV, I was once told that people who get bored are obviously intellectually challenged as, if you are intellectual, there is always something you can be thinking of and doing!
I did sign uo for an OU course on Criminology about 2 years ago to keep mind challenged, but have been unable to concentrate enough on it. I never intended to take the exams anyway.
Strange dream last night about being at some kind of fair/playground with various people. Not a bad dream, but woken up by postie delivering sheet grippers that I finally sourced. If anyone wants to know the website for ordering, let me know.
All these people who criticise lack of TV, lack of tolerance to ETOH and coming up with various "cures"; thank the lord we have some people around us who just quietly understand. Worth their weight in gold.
Raeh, hope you get medication sorted out today.
Beautiful clear sky here today, sunny, crips and cold. Just the sort of day I love and that raises my spirits. Remembered days of walking through the woods in the early mornings kicking up leaves.

That's not to say we don't notice the the pain - it's just that you do find a way to learn to live with it
i have said before i seem to be able to ignore the pain a lot of the time as its something thats just there now but when i get a papercut or something the pain from that seems extreme? and it just doesnt healsomebody_else wrote:If you want to hear real shock and horror - tell someone you can't drink alcohol.
They have got no idea how it's possible to manage without.

Drinks: A friend of mine had her drink spiked once, and she ended up in hospital, on life support! She wasn't on any meds or anything, she's just incredibly intolerant of alcohol. I really do think spiking someone's drink is incredibly stupid and dangerous.
Television: We do have one, but rarely watch it. I think there are currently two programmes a week that we bother with - and that's a lot for us! It gets used mainly for PlayStation2 games!:pIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

s/e it wasn't my trip to see Northern Lights that got you thinking about Helsinki was it? Bit of a tenuous connection but all I could think of. What on earth do our brains get up to when we give them freedom?!
People who spike drinks should be publicly flogged. It's such an incredibly stupid and irresponsible thing to do.
Have just turned the radio off here as sound is starting to get on my nerves, but I normally have some kind of noise going on (even if it's just the neighbours!) as I feel less alone with some background activity.
.
Raeh with me, the pain I cannot tolerate is itching when I get Urticaria - on top of everything else it's just too much. You have to scratch somewhere - it's impossible not to, so I scratch my scalp so scars don't show. Then you worry about getting infections. There's just no hope is there *grin*.
Have caught up on some phone calls which have been on to-do list for weeks. Now just deciding whether to go out and get papers or stay in dressing gown all day.
Hmm, decisions, decisions.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
