  • I make a big salad on a sunday, it does both of us till wednesday, with a tin of tuna or something to go with it, and costs a couple of pounds (for 6 lunches), then it is couscous and griddled veg on thursday and either pasta or rice salad on friday. Interesting, healthy and cheap!

I regularly cruise past the Co-Op reduced produce shelf, so I usually manage to get great (healthy) lunches for between 30p-£1 per day.
  • about £2.50 a day for 3 of us
  • It totally varies for me too. Am I being good or not? but these day's it's less and less, try to do it for £1 a day for lunch, then some fruit, so probably about £2

I spend about £1a day depending on what we've got in the house, i'll happily have leftovers from the night before's dinner, today i have homemade pumpkin soup with a whoopsied roll, we get free breakfast cereal and toast here for breakfast so if i'm especially strapped for cash then I'll just bring in some spagetti hopps (to have with free toast) and then lunch is about 30p. Or even have cereal or just toast for lunch and then it's free!!
  • my lunch can work out to be £2.87:o
  • I spend around £4 per day! I have good intentions on making my own but it only ever lasts about a week.... ooops!
  • I always spend between £5-£6 daily. By the time the sarnie hs been bought, and a drink then poooof so has the fiver.
  • i shop late to buy quality reduced items and cook enough at dinner for lunches the next day.

Please can I have a lunch pack - save hunting for containers every nite
