He was right and I am pleased to confirm that all outstanding payments will leave the bank by Thursday 23 October and start arriving in destination accounts on Friday 24 October.
We do follow the very influential moneysavingexpert.com threads and obviously recent ones have not made pleasant reading although it has been good to see reports of so many payments being received. We are pleased that we have now managed to resolve the administration issues we encountered with Kaupthing Edge and can now provide customers with what they want – certainty about when the final payments will leave the bank.
Below is the note we have just posted on the Kaupthing Edge website:
Kaupthing Edge outstanding payment issue resolved
We have been working hard to clear the backlog of payments and the vast majority of these have now been made. However, there are a small number of payments which we have been unable to process so far due to administrative issues within Kaupthing Edge.
Kaupthing Edge in the UK is being run by Administrators and we have now received their confirmation that all outstanding payments will be released by Thursday 23 October and we would expect these to start arriving in the destination bank account on Friday 24 October.
ING Direct and the Administrators would like to apologise once again for the delay in resolving this issue.
Your money is safe and secure and our priority remains to restore normal service to all customers.
I'm sorry but that does not help me get my money now ! We were told that all payments would have gone through last week. Then it was today. I was PROMISED at 5:30 by one of your staff that it would be paid by 6pm tonight. Now it is later in the week.0 -

Thanks for that. Any idea when you will begin honouring the breakage of the fixed terms by those who requested it?I'm sorry but that does not help me get my money now ! You should say thank you and understand their position and what they have to go through to clear up the mess KE left.0 -

Unfortunately, it looks as though Jan de Wit has stuck his finger back in the dyke tonight, but I really hope that those still waiting get their money soon. A few hours ago we really thought no one even knew that we existed, so at least we know now that we were wrong about that. They are paying up dispite all our worst fears, so just hang on in there.
Like many others, I will be checking in to see what's happening over the next few days and I am fervently wishing that all the remaining missing money will plonk into your accounts.
Good luck to everyone.
I agree with all the above from joanniepony,,,,,,,,,,,so we'll be thinking of you!!0 -

Great to hear payments will all be resolved on Thursday/Friday.
Is it possible you can give us information regarding refund of the CHAPS transfer charges and lost interest. Would be helpful for everyone on the forum to know how ING intend on sorting these issues. We have been promised on the website updates on how to claim back these charges yet nothing has been announced as of yet!

Welcome to ING Spokesperson - better late than never and pleased you've given some concrete news to those still waiting.
Given the conflicting information people here have had today you might want to consider giving those with transfers outstanding a single point of contact at ING because its clear that your normal Customer Service staff have struggled to cope with enquiries on this subject and have often caused more concern by appearing to give conflicting advice.CHAPS 7/10 RECEIVED 20/10 NAT WEST0 -
well I need my money, not assurances that it will be this Friday. that's no good. we had that last Friday and look what happened. I don't feel at all well with all of this.
I need personally contacting by Alastair Hemmings with specific ETA of my funds. Friday is way to dodgy a day. to me they'll just keep the money over the week end and there will be less of us screaming for our funds next week end.If you want to be rich, never, ever have kids0
