Kaupthing Edge Chaps/Bacs Transfers NEW discussion

They must be doing these transfers by BACS!!!!! how else can we explain, that they can plan about 3-4 days ahead and say that money will be in on Friday, or Monday or whatever other day???

I agree with someone, who said earlier, that they should have put a note on the website that CHAPS transfers are still not working properly and it may take more than 24 hours to receive money, or stop them completely for the time being. As it stands, I made a withdrawal on Monday and 48 hours later I am £45k+ down (somewhere in ether they must be....)

Have just spoken to ING direct and the person on the phone didn't even bother to try and treat me like a human, they just immediately launched into a script they are clearly bored of reading. Appalling. I asked to make a complaint and they said I have to write it up and send it in and they will respond within a week!!! ING - ARE YOU HAVING A LAUGH?! Can your call centre staff not have the gumption to simply write customer's details down and pass them to their managers???? For heaven's sake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You suck. Majorly.

Later addition - a manager at ING apologised profusely for this response and has now taken a complaint. Much good it will do.

Please accept my apologies if last nights banter offended anyone. The thread seemed to be at a quiet time & those of us that were left just felt like letting go - There was absolutely no intention of upsetting anyone

I would also like to say that my handle on here (Ontherun) does not in anyway reflect any intent of me making a run on ING or any other bank for that matter

Incidentally, at the beginning of the thread, it said all t/f's are now being treated as Bacs, so I suppose we must expect them to take a day or two to show. Therefore Monday might be THE DAY.

No, you are not alone - there are others who have said the same.

Certainly neither I nor my wife have received any communication from KE or ING for our missing CHAPS xfers.

Does anyone have the stamina to compile a list of those who have not received a 5% mail?

If we have not received a 5% mail AND have not received our CHAPS funds does this mean that the 5% is actually 10% or 20% or 30% ???

I would like to echo ontheruns sentiments and apologise for any upset caused last night. There didn't seem to be many people around and I wasn't aware we were annoying anyone, having read the posts this morning I can understand it must be irritating for anyone trying to catch up the next morning. Again I would like to apologise, I will stay in the back ground quietly supporting you all. Good luck everyone...

Just what I thought: payments by Friday 24th is just for starters. In other words, another miserable weekend ahead for possibly many.

Reading through the pages since 9am yesterday it appears not....

It seems that they are choosing Friday again, which will turn into Monday, and we know what happens then... again and again
