I needed a desert as well today.. We got some discounted figs yesterday and caramelised them in balsamic vinegar and brown sugar (BBC recipe). Surprisingly, it was not bad and I would make them again!!!!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

Will do so
I've got an avatar now too - thanks for the info!KE veteran - life seemed so much simpler then!0 -
:T bigg - Thanks so much for this post. I registered late yesterday and was just about to place my first post when I saw the newbie WorriedK get chewed up.
I thought then that I must have misunderstood the sort of people that use the forum, but the subsequent posts from Smitty, SteepPip, Alisonb1965, PJL1, tintin52.POR, dodgy and you have all led me to place a tentative toe in the water, now that I understand about trolls and their habits!
I cancelled my intended debut post and might have gone to bed downhearted, but then I read the Japanese banks report and retired chuckling. Hope the Japanese banks wasn't copyrighted - it is now winging its way around my friends and colleagues!
Really hope that we hear again from WorriedK and that Kate gets her money very soon along with the rest of you that are still waiting. Well that's my first post and I really feel delighted to join the MSE community:j
Welcome from me too Ainsdale, it has been a terrible and traumatic time for us all, and this forum has kept me going throughout. I appreciate how hard it is to make your first post, but I genuinely feel part of a very special group of people. I am so pleased for all those who have received their money, and that their nights of stress are over, but I am really touched by the fact that they continue to support those of us who are still waiting. Keep your posts coming...Money requested 08/10, left KE 22/10 - Arrived 24/100 -
Yes welcome. I must admit when scrolling back thru last night's posts after I had signed off I was surprised at the ferocity (? spelling) of some of the posts which is indeed not the majority feeling on here and it's an incredibly supportive place to be.0

Still no joy for me! I really don't know what state I'd have been in without this forum and even with it there are times when I panic a bit. The continuing support of those of you who have got your money is particularly encouraging and welcome and I hope that I am in a similiar position soon!!
Would the general consensus here be that it is a waste of time and effort at this stage attempting any contact with KE or ING?
Again thanks to everyone (well almost everyone) who has posted on this thread-you've all helped me greatly.0 -
Hi everyone - i am back for today's evening entertainment. Looking at the string very little appears to have happened. I am all out of theories now, i just want my money
Not recieved today and no e-mail or call from ING - 8/10 CHAPS not paid to Nationwide
I am thinking of re-registering with MSE now as 'Stressedout50'0 -
Don't know what happened to Worriedk last night but I do know that all the nice people on here kept me sane for the last two weeks. I am one of the lucky ones who got their money yesterday but keep logging back in to see how the rest of you are doing. Martin was a brick and I feel sure it is he and Dan who finally got things moving more quickly for all of us and they will not rest til everyone has been reimbursed.
Some people are now talking about missing chaps fees and interest - I will join the fight for that with everyone too but think we should wait until everyone has got their capital back first. I do hope that your reimbursement WILL be this week, fingers still crossed for all of you. Good luck!0
