For first time in 2 weeks beginning to wonder if ING are the "villains" in this episode. Although ING are clearly the point of interface for us all now, the evidence suggests that KE under the control of Administrators are the ones with access to individual depositor records and the records of various missing withdrawals.
My take would be that the Administrators are the ones slowing the process down, perhaps not unreasonably as they will be charged with ensuring all payments are properly authorised and accounted for.
This scenario would be consistent with yesterday's update from ING, and explain why ING have been unable to answer individual account queries and why ING have not been in control of the timescales for payments.
Probably not that much comfort to those still awaiting their money, but it's quite likely that ING are exerting as much pressure as possible on the Administrators to get all these payments sorted and, at the same time, having to take the front line criticism for processes outside of their direct control.
Anyway for all those still waiting hope all the payments get through this week.CHAPS 7/10 RECEIVED 20/10 NAT WEST0 -

I put a CHAPS request on the 7th which was due to go on the 8th.
Still not received anything and HSBC say there's nothing waiting to clear on my receiving account.
Did get a CHAPS refund of £20 credited to KE yesterday but where's my money?!!
I have the same issue, out of interest did your withdrawal leave your account with a zero or negative balance??
I hoping that as there has been activity on my KE account im a step closer to getting my money. No more offshore banking for me :rolleyes:0 -

1. I do think that the administrators are relaesing funds in batches.
2. I think these batches are each week on a Friday (or possibly Thursday with ING paying out on Friday)
3. When the funds arrive, I think they are allocated to a number of accounts that equates to the amount of fund recieved that week.
4. Some of these accounts will have outstanding payments and some will still have a balances (those that did not withdraw and possibly fixed term). Those with outsanding transactions get paid whereby those with balances, the funds transfer to ING.
5. Obviously it is INGs interest that some be assigned to accounts with a balance.
6. What I think may have happened yesterday as a result of possible negative media coverage, is not that they got additional funds from the administrators, but they re-assigned funds from accounts with a balance. However obviously there would be a limit which when reached was when the payments stopped.
Absolutely pure speculation on my part, but something is very strange about all of this and yesterday seemed to break the rules
Despite all this I am confident we will eventually get our money back and I am not actually convinced it is actually INGs fault. I think they are just the front line.
I am probably totally wrong but it made me feel better typing it down
I think that is as good a guess as I've seen. Have had numerous long (and mainly pointless) conversations with ING where they have trotted out various excuses. None of these really add up. Volume of transactions? That's what computers are for. Exceptional circumstances? Might account for a small delay. Remember, KE employess (AFAIK) are still managing the customer computer system. It wasn't turned off in an abandoned building for 3 weeks but continued functioning throughout the, shall we say, 'change of management', to put it politely. The administration of the accounts via the database and web front-end should barely have been changed. Adding this all together then maybe allow a few extra days for transactions with everything normalising well before now.
Why is this relevant? I just have a natural aversion to being fobbed off. This delay has ultimately come from the administrators of KE who are probably working to terms set by the UK government. This stress is being handed down from Darling, and does not bode well for Icesave customers IMV.0 -

Have you looked at yourself lately, I'm surprised they haven't contacted you before. Perhaps they were intimidated by your wealth and are now queuing as I type.
