Afternoon all, just returned from a shopping trip to the metrocentre, DH and i are on our own today so decided to have a day out. DH desperatley needed some winter woolies so Primark fitted the bill, also got DD's OH a dressing gown for christmas as he has been seen wearing one of her old ones, and its a bit scarey first thing on a morning lol! Got 2 new mop heads in £1 shop as i go through a lot of them with the laminate flooring. On the way home called in at a upvc plastics place and managed to get a length of skirting for the bathroom so no maintainence there in the future.
Had a Mc D for lunch, but now have a chicken in roasting for this evening as the kids will be coming in starving as they have been on their course all day.
Had a great night on Friday at country club and won £5 on the money card and 1doz free range eggs in the raffle!!
Well off to get caught up now, love to all BSB xx0 -

May I ask - has anyone any experience of Able & Cole veg boxes? I find it hard to believe that they deliver in my area, but if they do, are they worth it?
Dippy meter still very high.

I don't usually do all the individual names-can't manage the typing- but I wanted to wish a Happy Birthday to Pen- Penguin, you do a great job, thank you.
Sybil, I always smile reading about your Little Bear, he sounds gorgeous, wish I had one. I have a great big growly bear but he's lovely really.
Not much OS today, I was at the hospital this morning but I have managed to finish my new door curtain and DH has done the ironing.
Fish with cauliflower cheese for me and mince for DH, he's faddy!! We have some lovely organic carrots to go with it.

Sybil I was going to suggest these for you, I have a box delivery every 2 weeks but will up it to every week once the garden produce has run out. Abel and Cole are very good (in my experience) and you can choose your favourites and your dislikes as well. It is lovely getting the box (a bit like Christmas) and helps me when I am having a low energy week and cannot get to the shops. Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Hello everyone,
Happy Birthday Penelope Penguin and miss cas
*hugs* to candygirl - thinking of you and your family
Well, i had a lovely long weekend staying with twink - and came home with a bag of hm twinks hobnobsThey're very yummy
Since I've got back, I've been and done the weekly shop though I'll probably need to go top up on a few things as the week goes on. Dinner tonight is going to be chicken curry so the chicken is cooking just now. We like the curry with noodles and find the best ones to use are the very cheapy packet ones - only 11p in tesco so thats nicely moneysavingI've got mince to make a pie so need to decide if want to do that tonight or tomorrow. Other than that, will need to put on the wm this evening, and then might continue scanning some photos so i can give twink her photo albums back :rotfl:
Take care all - *hugs* available as always...0 -
Hi all
Busy day wrestling with trial balances at HQ job. Managed to get most to balance but struggling with a few others. Although have been in charge of budgets have not had to do this before. The wee brain and eyes rather strained!
Happy birthday to PenPen and Miss Cass. Hope you both are having a lovely day.
Thank you for your mentions and pms - they do mean so much to me.
Have tackled half the Mount Everest pile and just about to return to do the rest. How can two of us produce so much ironing? Mind you I am doing DGSs jammies from two weeks ago!
I think I might treat myself to a carryout - probably Chinese.
Take care everyone.

Hiyas! :hello::hello::hello:
Sorry for shouting everyone, but I'm sure Tired Mum doesn't want her query missed again.
CandyGirl - I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. It must be so hard to bear, I really am sorry.
Lamewolf - thank you for asking about my wee baby Dylan (pudd'n!! love that!). He hasn't produced very much from his rear - so going to the vet tomorrow morning to see if he's constipated again - he hasn't eaten too much so it's hard to tell. Oh I hope that he gets better his really is such a sweet little darling sugar honey bunch (or cat as some of you might more succintly describe him).
I had today off wo*k today - well that's what happens when you don't have a job:rotfl::rotfl: I haven't quite managed to get around to doing anything old style, but I did scoff a new style tin of ready made soup. It was a whoospied dented yellow sticker job though, so I haven't gone totally mad.
AussieLass, OMG that Irish chick can talk a lot! Where was she from anyway, anywhere you'd visited?
PennyPeng - happy birthday, go eat lots of cake dearie.
Rage in Eden - well done in using the wo*kplace door to further your own happiness, your relief at having to never go back there is very apparant. Life's too short to be sad, you've definitely done the right thing.
Haribo - when are you going back to Scotland? I hope you are having a lovely time.
I am in the half notion of borrowing a friend's digital camera so that I can ebay some stuff. It's a scary thought, but having created a userid over two years ago it's high time I used it. Procratination is the thief of time, luckily all my old junk survived the procrastination raid and I can finally have a bit of a clear out. I did do some cleaning and scrubbing last weekend but it's all back to square one now as the place is a tip again. How can one person be so messy??
Hmmm, I really really fancy some chocolate. Luckily I need to get some milk, maybe they will be giving away free bars of chocolate. I'd better go and check.
Bye all
