I have lurking here for a while after first finding Landy on the internet. I decided to research them on here and found this thread. Going be the majority of people on here I think I shall order from them as they do seem to be to be the cheapest around and have promised me a discount as I wish to order my wedding dress and 6 bridesmaids from them. My dress is a based on a design by Mori Lee and it has a Cathedral train! I cant wait!

One question though. I am desperately trying to lose weight and get back to a size 12 so have been delaying ordering them. With my wedding 18th July do you think beginning of feb is too late to order them?

Hi, my dress only took 5 weeks from start to finish, so i'm sure Feb wont be too late. Hope your as happy with your dress as I am with mine.

Can someone help a little confused the dress I like is a maggie sottero dress, will it be a copy of the ones she sells or do they make the dresses for her, I was going to try on the dress first in a local supplier if it will be the same dress

All the chinese sellers make copies so not the original. The dress will have some differences due to copyright and won't be quite as high quality as the originals hence the drastically lower price tag. However there have been lots of brides on here who have ordered from Landy/Milly etc who are over the moon with their dresses.

I've ordered from Millybridal and my dress should be with me end of February as there is a lead time of about 70 days. For those of you ordering now, do remember that Chinese New Year falls in February and so most of the companies will be closing for a couple of weeks for the holidays.

Hi Has anyone ordered a "big" dress, or a "fussy" one with lots of layers and/or beadin/crystals etc? The design I think I want is not simple at all and I am worrying as a lot of the pics I have seen (mostly brilliant!) have been relatively simple/classy deigns whereas mine is abit of a meringue so possibly more complicated for them? No offence intended in anyway here I just want big and blingy!

The dress I have ordered from MillyBridal, whilst not big (its A-Line) has a lace overlay with chrystals, beading and sequins. It took a few goes to match the lace but still isn't quite how I wanted. I don't mind though as the dress is costing a hell of a lot less than it should.

It won't be ready until probably the end of February if you can hang on until then for photos!!

You don't have any choice but to order at the beginning of Feb - they are closed from 18th - 31st Jan.

But I'm sure you will have plenty of time. Which Mori Lee dress are you looking at?

Alleycat it sounds gorgeous! What do you mean about the lace, have you sent samples that you want or have they shown you the lace?

Am really concerned after reading thi thread and a few others. Was thinking about ordering an alfred angelo from Landy but now terribly unsure incase it in't right and I need to order an original. Am in such a panic now.
