  • rach i'm planning on getting an alfred angelo from landy also. what to remember is due to copyright it cannot be exactly the same hence they may use beads instead of crystals etc. all of the landy dresses i've seen have looked beautiful. have you tried the original on and fallen in love with it? can you afford to buy a landy one and resell it if it doesn't meet your expectations? can you afford the original price tag?

we are on a tight budget and for the price you pay - which is way cheaper than any bridal shop here - i am prepared to take the risk.

  • I received a message back a few minutes ago that they are on the Chinese Festival holiday until February. It may be a little bit before you get an actual response. Fingers Crossed!

I received my landy dress yesterday and quite honesly it is better quality than I expected. The fit is slightly wrong around the bust so will have to be taken in but the dress itself is beautiful. I paid extra to have some crystals added to the dress but now I cannot tell which are the crystals and which are the glass beading! I have no idea what the clip inside the dress is for though the elastic is far to short to stretch around my back! Just need for mum to learn how to lace up the corset back properly. Over all I am happy with my dress. I was really concerned about all the stories I read about colour problems, uneven hems, bad sewing etc but it is fine! No regrets what so ever. I would never pay the wanted £950 for the dress the shops wanted but even with some altering the dress will be way under £200. Mum's only complaint was the sewing on the poppers of the modesty panel are very loosly sewed on and she is worried they will fall off if I try on the dress too oftern!

    Hi chardonnay,

Ohhh what one are you getting? You will have to let me know how it turns out.

Yeah I tried the original on and just didnt want to take it off, its absolutely gorgeous on, Definitely think its the ONE lol If am honest I can't really afford the original price tag, its £800 in one shop and more even in another. Have been searching the net an can get an original from a US site for £508 including shipping an a free bridesmaids dress so thinking maybe plumping for that option but again I don' know how safe that is either.

When is your dress due to arrive?

    Rach x

    Hi!

Has anyone ordered the colour sample card form Landy? I'm thinking about getting it but wondered if you had to pay any additional customs charges etc?

    Thanks!

You don't have any choice but to order at the beginning of Feb - they are closed from 18th - 31st Jan.

But I'm sure you will have plenty of time. Which Mori Lee dress are you looking at?
