Looking back at the first set of piccys with the top hoop in, it wasn't falling in the nice "A" line shape. It suddenly lost the line. Taking out the top hoop broght the line back into place. But, your dress hun, and it's how you feel in it that matters. Put the hoop back in if it makes you feel better. xx0 -
Oh god no. I like it out. Now what am I going to do? lol. Is it badly too long? It felt like it was juts touching the floor when I had it on. Would it be any better if I made the bottom hoop a bit bigger? - if am I able to. Do you seriously think it looks ok as i'm not very tall and I don't want to look silly in it. I have ordered another dress the same length shall I get them to make this other one an inch or 2 shorter?0

I think it must be the picture I was looking at. When you walk in it, keep your head up and look straight ahead. You should walk as if you are going to kick out at the front of your gown. If you can do this without fear of tripping happy days. The moment you drop your head forward to look at the floor, your dress will drop anything up to an inch!! Head up, shoulders back!0

Ok I shall try all this next time I try it on lol. And take more pictures of me straighter for you to analyse. If it does need taking up I have time. Speaking of which (the boobs ...) how can I make them look a little more ... less covered up ... :-O I only have little ones and would like to show a little cleavege if I can. Do I have to invest in a big padded bra!0

Blimey! I've spent AGES reading through this thread!!!
Hello everyone....... haven't posted on this website for ages and never in the 'wedding' section. I was referred here by another thread on YAYW.
Here's my dilimma: Tried on a Maggie that I do love, but want it made-to-measure because my measurements are awkward (I'm very short and the waist of a standard size lands around my hips). I can afford the £1250 but am worried that altering a standard size will end up being too difficult - especially when the inside of these dresses (from the shop, not Landy's) are so intricately made. Also I don't really like the bodice of the dress and want to alter the design a bit. It's strapless and I don't do strapless. The shop suggested chiffon straps but I want something that looks like it was meant to be there - matching the lace of the dress - and not something that was just 'stuck on' afterwards.
I don't mind paying for quality and one of the reasons I liked this dress so much in the shop was because the fabric was lovely, the lace, embroidery and beading was just beautiful.
I've read that Landy will upgrade their fabric and beading quality and wondered if anyone here has had that done? Would they send samples?
Please don't take offence, but some of the dresses I've seen here have what looks like puckering around the embroidery. Is this the quality of the needlework or is it just because the dresses needed steaming or pressing?0 -
