Still haven't managed to get hold of a tree surgeon, ...
Greenbee, Hubby worked in Basingstoke for a while and they had to use a tree surgeon where he was... I'll find out some details for you if i can...
~~~wanders off to ring hubbys old firm and see if she can find out~~~
~~~wanders back~~~
It was someone called Foremost Tree Surgeons, and they were quite quick and cleaned up after themselves well aparently... might be worth a try if they are near you? greenbee :rotfl: it makes me giggle when a bloke dips a toe in the water to test the temperature!!! I'm guessing he'll find the water's good to look at but swimming's off limits!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
My DH's mate (well, ex mate now!) he helped us move house, all was fine and normal, but.... very, very, late that night, he text me on my mobile.... very innocuous sounding "how are you feeling, are you settled in now?" but texting me, and not the OH?? he wasn't my friend ..... So I showed it to my DH, and said, hmmmm, someone's testing temperature here!!! So my DH replied from his own mobile, "we're fine mate, thanks for asking." :rotfl:" That sorted that out!!!
It always made me laugh that particular 'mate' ending up having an affair with the OH of another friend of ours, that started with little texts backwards and forwards too!! :eek:MMSSB Club Founder Member

... I think your vacuum cleaner's crevice tool is in my garage... want me to drop it in when I go to Leeds on the 18th/19th ish? I thought I might take my spare kitchen sink & kitchen units for Pigpen at the same time
I've just had what I THINK might be a vaguely innappropriate email from a colleagueI'd be quite flattered if it wasn't for the fact that I'm pretty sure he's married!
Yeah - I'm watching HER!;)
Nope - found it - under DDs bed!:rotfl:
If it was me I would be half flattered (although now I'm taken obviously...:rotfl: he would have no chance) and half offended - another married bloke chancing his arm! Pah! Back from OT.. I have to BUY special cutlery (£25) and a posture pack (£50) for DS2.. Would that be covered in a grant from the family fund?? (I never did get round to applying before) Mind you I guess that is what the DLA is for.. (I forget we get that as it goes in the account and gets swallowed by the decreasing overdraft) I have a list of things from OT that I will be taking to the head of the education and health service meeting at the next forum.. I take my job very seriously! They aren't referring him to SLT because his speech is 'adequate'.. the fact he is nearly 13 and cannot pronounce some letters is by the by so it seems. They don't have any groups for him to attend and suggests he joins scouts or sea cadets... the child with immense social issues... yeah that's going to happen.. NOT!
We have his IEP review on the 12th November (9:30) so hopefully I'll be able to get in to college to sit in a different tutorial group.. seeing as I've missed the last 2 I think attending the next one would be sensible.
I am starved so am doing food early.. I've had 2 twirls and a cereal bar today.. and only teeny 1 cup of tea.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Great to hear you had a brill time...sounds idyllic.
Nope, been really quiet here;)Sounds like you'd better cancel the card and take out a new one somewhere else without his name on. Did they send it to you rather than him? If they have, at least you can cut it up! (Throw the bits away in separate bins... I'm paranoid, I work with IT security :rolleyes: )
I'm paranoid - and I don't work in IT security!COOEEEEEEEEE VALLI - What's the goss?

Hi honeys, I'm HOME!!!!
I'm not even contemplating catching up with 50 odd pages of chat - anything REALLY important I should know about?
I see from a quick scan of today's messages that some of you are ill - hugs and homemade chicken soup all round (unless you're upchucking then it's hugs with a surgical mask on and a piece of dry toast and boiled water...)
I had a really nice week away. The cottage was everything I wanted it to be. I could lie in bed and hear the waves crash on the beach and could see the sea from the living room window as I sat by the side of the wood burning on the open fire.
DD came up for Saturday night and we played scrabble and walked and things which was really nice. The weather was very kind - only one really wet day and that was last Monday so I drove the dog out round the villages. Ended up having to wash my car the next day because it was filthy from the mud on the farm roads.
I ate bacon from the nearby organic farm that tasted like bacon from my childhood, I drank semi skimmed milk from the same farm that was so lush it had the 'cream' bit on the top, even though it was semi-s - again a taste from my childhood. It really does make me wonder how much water is in ordinary shop milk!
I walked, I read, I wrote, I researched - and didn't want to come home!
I really must start working on a plan B - where I get to live in a house on the beach. There was a lovely little beach cafe with living quarters about a mile away and I felt I could really do that - I shall have to start researching.
But, ought to finish the unpacking..
Welcome Home Soappie, we've missed you... Need someone to control Valli and Tom - Greenbees been trying on her own and she must be worn out! :rotfl:
It sounds absolutly idillic - I bet you never wanted to come back either, neither would I... Plan B will happen once you've published your successful book and then you can buy that cottage you just stayed in... and write loads more successful books.... :TLBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -
I forgot to say,
Welcome back Soappie i'm glad you had a lovely time.
About the lists and starsigns, i'm capricorn and have made lists since i was about 11. It was timed as well so it would say things like 6.30 - Get up, 7.00 - Have breakfast etc my Sisters found one and teased me to death so i stopped. I love making lists ( don't always complete them though ) and until i found this thread i thought i was barking. Now i've realised we all are:p0 -

That's a nice plan Denise I wish I could believe it could happen- funnily enough, the owners were saying that they are eventually going to sell - there are four old coastguard cottages in a terrace which they let out and there's a lot of land so I think I may need to write several successful books before I can afford the place!
So - Valli and Tom huh? I'll keep an eye out...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
