Hi,this is my first flylady post but Ive been following for a month or so and my kitchens never looked so good, living room and bathroom aren't doing too bad either, bedrooms my failing (one bed apartment plus zero storage).
My oh is libran and he's sooooooooo frustrating, takes his socks off and dumps them where he is which is generally about 1 -5 steps from the washing basket. grrrrrrrrr. Will get him train!!!! I'm piscean, but slightly cuspal to aquarius so I can be very organised and get everythig done, but I can also be very lazy and make great plans and never do them, depends on my mood I think.
Welcome to the thread hun - but YOU'RE gonna have to be so careful - you're so close to the mules they are BOUND to hit you!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

You just had too didn't you:) Why do you think everytime DF's family say "we don't mind travelling to London" I refuse and say "no, Im quite keen on Sheffield":D I think it was Valli who mentioned I should be having an MSE Flylady wedding and all my "virtual mums/sisters" on here would help out. Kaat_Lady has already sent a number of venue ideas (although thinking about it, if Im having all the flyladies and their lot-one of you better fess up with a really big garden/plot/farm and the rest of you best put your heads down re grub).
I don't know if I've mentioned yet that we are toying with the idea of a "larney picnic" with a "free for all, laid back join the fun" after. Also I've decided on sunset orange and salmon pink gerbera's with burgandy cala lilies.
But instead of centre pieces as such I'd like to use filled picnic baskets and wrap the handles with ribbon and decorate simply with a few Gerberas.
That sounds lovely!
When we got married I looked into all the planning etc and thought "I can't be bothered with all that!" so we ended up getting married in court in White River (in South Africa) - cost nothing - and my parents and sister came over for the wedding, as well as one of DH's friends and his now wife, so there were 9 including us two. That was plenty big enough for me :rotfl:
In my HCC, which ended up being about an hour, I changed the beds, put a wash load on and vacuumed everywhere except the lounge which will be done a bit later as it's pointless when the crumbs will just pile up again! :rotfl:
I also put my bread dough in tins. I was very surprised that it was ready by 11.30 as I'd made it at about 7 this morning thinking it would take ages because of the cold.
Then I spent a while cutting my strips ready for patchwork tomorrow.
I'm off out to a friend's for coffee and a natter so won't be back until after the school run.
See you later Tom. Blast it, he still only has eyes for Valli . What does a girl have to do around here to get noticed?

.... well there's got to be some incentive to do the housework! Do you think any of us would bother if we didn't get some fun in return?cardiffmatch wrote: »Greenbee - on cake: It's v simple. Maybe you should tell your boss... there might be more cake in your life!cardiffmatch wrote: »Time to risk self-electrocution now. Those lights aren't going to fit themselves. Beccah - if the lights go out in Newport, send the ambulances down to Cardiff Bay please. Ta.
Don't forget to switch the electricity off first :rotfl:
During my TC I wiped the skirting boards in the bedroom, study, bathroom, spareroom, landing & stairs, and the windowsills in the bedroom, spareroom and landing. Also all landing doorframes & spareroom doorframe. I also delegated all the work from the TC to my graduate trainee...
Still haven't managed to get hold of a tree surgeon, but have a bill ready to post and a cheque to pay in. Online banking isn't working at the moment so can't do that.
Off to find some lunch...0 -

I think we're safe for now. No-one seems to have twigged our liasone dangerous so mad and impassioned one would almost believe one imagined the whole thing :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Being a loyal boy I am ignoring all attempts to lure me away from my valli... although please note liking for cake with jam in the middle:rotfl:
Tom
Yup - we'll keep it quiet;) ! The other flyladies might get a teensy bit jealous if they thought we were having fun.
That jam BTW - will homemade Bramble Jelly do inside the Victoria Sponge?
***scuttles off to find recipe books***
Done my errand and made a veggie chilli in case DS GF would like some...
Now off to change the sheets and make the bedroom beautiful...the sun is shining and I have the biggest smile on my face...
happy days!... cue the sound of flyladies sobbing into their pinnies... (Do you have any idea of the havoc you're causing here Tom? One lone male in the midst of this seething mass of female hormones... I'd take G&B's advice if I were you)
... followed by a mad rush to the kitchen to start baking... (if Polka wasn't already taken she'd be in with a very good chance)

lol The lights are still on, so methinks Tom is still in one piece! If you do cause any explosions in the bay can you keep them away from Mermaid Quay please Tom, taking little sis and nephews out on the ferrys on sunday morning and would hate the smell of singed body hair to put me off my hot chocolate.Sanity is the playground of the unimaginative!0 -

Does anybody know how to clean the overflow on a bathroom sink?
An old toothbrush just isn't flexible enough to go in. I've squirted bleach down it, but I want to make sure it's scrubbed. Yes I know I can't actually SEE the muck, but I KNOW it's there. See what flying has done to me? It's making me obsessed :rotfl:
Hiya Tom. [See Valli didn't even notice].

You can buy special brushes from b3tterware (though I dare say others have them) but if you use hot water and bleach that should clear it - or pipe cleaners...
and yeah - I did:eek:Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
