Me again I thought I would tell you about my day
this morning we went to an apple festival lot's of different varieties so I had to buy some
I then went and did the shopping on the way home the kid's were less than impressed
when we got in after a much deserved cuppa I made 24 jam tarts an apple pie and an apple crumble
roast chicken and all the bit's to go with it and now I'm tired so going to put my feet up in a mo and either surf the net or watch some telly
have a good evening
pam xxI didn't say it was your fault, I said I was going to blame you
I am one of the English sexy Shelias
I'm also a hussy0 -
At the risk of being shot down in flames....if you all just carry on posting as you like and stop making every post an attack at change then this thread might be a bit nicer to read. The board guides stated they'd had complaints and comments about how the thread was running so they did their jobs (giving up their own spare time I might add) to ask how this could be sorted....The resulting nasty and negative comments each day really do make me angry and I must admit, I'm now skimming the posts looking for nice posts. (Pooky)
Couldn't agree more! Have been trying to say this over the last few days but my fluency is shot to bits
Candygirl...glad you could be with your dad...have sent you a pm but your inbox is full;
Rage....good on you...people like that consultant need to be taken down a peg...full of her own importance... nothing is an excuse to hurt people.
We had blueberry pancakes and bacon for breakfast...pancake mix I confess, as blueberries are so expensive I decided to treat Ulick when I saw the mix...they were ok with syrup but didn't taste any blueberry, although there were lumps in mix which looked like berries...will use rest of mix but won't buy again. Dinner was chicken and ham in onion and garlic sauce with baked potatoes and bok choy stir -fried in sesame oil and drizzled with oyster sauce...that might be an idea for a dish for your veggies Beth...then we had baked apples and ice cream for pudding.
Hugs to all in need or want, welcome to newbies and congratulations to those who are celebrating
Marie

Hi all
CandyGirl - I know I am new n this thread but I lost my brother and mother within 12 months of each other - Both to cancer and I really feel for you. I talk to them both now sometimes and I hope that they can hear me, I know it won't give you much comfort but at least you know that he is not suffering anymore and he was with the people he loved most when he passed away.
I don't know what this thread was like before but I am loving the way it is at the moment. I am feeling inspired daily by you guys and it is helping me to stay motivated:beer: .... So thank you everyone.
We went for a walk on the beach this morning, DS and DD loved it. Even though it was freezing.
We then went to buy some packing boxes for packing the house up - Not very OS I know but our Tesco's said they weren't able to give me any and looked at me like I was simple. We went to staples who sell packing boxes and were horrified that the boxes were £3.89 each   For a cardboard box!!! So no boxes for me. I will have to pop to Asda one day this week.
For lunch we had dippy eggs and soldiers - yummy and for tea we have had HM chilli. I think it was the nicest chilli I have ever made.
Me and DD have made butterfly cakes with ream cheese icing:T :T They went down really well.
We have sorted out the airing cupboard as the new house does not have much storage space, I can't believe that I found 2 black sacks filled with stuff that I didn't want anymore. We also sorted out a load of old football shirts that OH won't wear as they are a few seasons old (who said women were fussy). I put them both on freecycle and they were collected within the hour:D .
We have had a slight disaster this afternoon though, we decided to clean the vertical blinds so that they were nice for the new owners. I tried soaking them in the bath but it wasn't helping so I asked OH to put them in the WM on a really low temp setting. So what did he do, he put them on the highest and managed to shrink them. Now I think we will have to replace them before moving.
Oh well, I have waffled on loads today.
Bye everyone.0 -
Oh dear, I've just told a really big fib, hubby came into the kitchen just as I was starting on my next batch of mince, you couldn't see the mince as I had so much grated carrot, onion, lentils & oats in the pan. He asked what I was cooking & I said 'Carrot Soup' lol.
He is such a fussy eater & treats most veg as though I'm trying to poison him. I know he is old enough to know better, but he now eats so many things he didn't used to.
I'll never go to heaven will I, lol.

Hi there
I have been MIA for quite some time. Things been happening in my life. My medication has been all over the place, now under control. DH away, having to work between my normal work place and HQ (where I can't access internet privately), MIL cataract op went pear shaped, DS made redundant last week in Ireland. Just feeling cr@@p. I do know this is not as bad as some of your problems.
Just trying to keep up with Strickly while typing this - missed it last night.
Take care you all.

((((Candygirl)))) So sorry to hear the sad news about your dad. I'm not a regular poster on here, well, I used to be quite a while ago, but it is always sad to hear of someone going through a tough time.
I am making an effort to be more OS. Work gets in the way but I do what I can. Today I had a lovely experience. We were visiting some friends in Burwell, near Cambridge, and there must be loads of cooking apple trees in Burwell, because people were just giving them away. A wheelbarrow full outside a very nice house, with a sign saying "Cooking apples please help yourself". There were several houses with tables outside with bags of apples on them too. I took a bagful (only as many as I knew I would use) and am happy to report that the apple crumble was delicious. DS made the topping, as he had learnt how to make this in Food Tech last year so I let him get on with it. Delicious, and didn't cost a penny as I had all of the ingredients in the cupboard.
Need to do my mealplan for the week, as well as the sandwich plan for school & work lunches. Byee!Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90
