Good morning folks, not very promosing here but will have to get the washing out. Fortunately we have a small clothes whirly I can put under the car port, so will (try)find that in the garage. Like Mags50 dont know why I am sitting here have a list as long as my arm to do today. Intend making HM Bread in the pany, Yellow split pea soup, mince for two meals (one OS and one with bolognaise sauce), sausage and liver casserole, apple crumble, make some biscuits, gingerbread and a victoria sponge and lastly some scones. Will play with the new vacuum sealer I bought yesterday and pack most of the above for the freezer so will have very little to do during the week. Hope you all have a good Sunday and remember it is suppose to be a day of rest!!!:-)Every days a School day!0

Morning all
I know it's not OS but - good luck to Lewis Hamilton in the Grand Prix
Been sitting here doing my Mr T online shop. Have complained to them about receiving 4 bananas instead of 10, this has happened quite a few times now, they only charge me for 4 but whats the point of asking for 10 and not getting them and I have to go out and buy more, pointless having them delivered in the first placeAnyway they have given me a £5 off voucher so that has paid for my delivery this week and got another £4 off from the thread on here so that has gone towards a tin of Toblerone for a Christmas presssie. :j Busy for a Sunday here (never intend to do too much on a Sunday), but ironing, washing to hang out, hobnobs to make, hopefully all this done before I have to start dinner. Also waiting for engineer to come re our new central heating boiler. One of our radiators that has had a thermostatic valve on, is making the noise of a tanker in the fog!!!!
Have a good day all0 -

Good morning all
At the risk of being shot down in flames....if you all just carry on posting as you like and stop making every post an attack at change then this thread might be a bit nicer to read. The board guides stated they'd had complaints and comments about how the thread was running so they did their jobs (giving up their own spare time I might add) to ask how this could be sorted....The resulting nasty and negative comments each day really do make me angry and I must admit, I'm now skimming the posts looking for nice posts.
Ok - rant over...
Have posted some piccys over on the "special occasions/celebrations" board in the crafty thread, of some bits I've made in the last couple of weeks - some great ideas over there.
OS wise this weekend....well we're supposed to be going out looking for rosehips today, bearing in mind I've no idea what they look like, it should be fun....DH wants to make some rosehip wine...basically anything that stands still long enough is considered for brewing purposes at the moment...I won't compain about the results though, been trying a few bottles and very nice they are too!
Got some chicken portions defrosting for dinner this evening, will do roast pots/parsnips with it and maybe a blackberry and apple crumble.....
To the jam makers out there....can I make jam from frozen blackberries? My sister gave me a few huge tubs last week and we did enjoy the jam I made from the fresh ones....
Managed to pick up a carrier bag full of tea lights/candles from Freecycle yesterday, some are too highly scented to burn in the living room but we've really noticed how much warmer the room gets with a few burning of an evening.....anything that keeps the heating off for a bit longer!
Hope you all have a fantastic Sunday, whatever you're up to.

Morning Chums ,
had my other sis-in-law arrive yesterday and bless her she brought her strimmer and did my patch of lawn for me .We had one of Mr Ts 1.99 chooks for dinner, and it was o.k. I still have lots left over so may make a curry for the freezer this morning. Have quite a bit of chicken stock left over so I think I'll stick the SC on and do some soup to use that up as well.
A little bit of ironing this morning whilst listening to The Archers, and will try to catch up on some reading for my history course.
Off to my DD's this afternoon lots of 'Grannying' to catch up on as I was away in the hospital last week. <<hugs to those in need>> and I hope the rest of you have a peaceful and happy Sunday

Have a good one :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
:hello: Morning all,
I'm not sure why people think they have to worry about what they can and can't post. I don't think anyone's posts are being deleted(unless they're really offensive which is a bit unlikely on this board).
I went to bed a bit fed up having just watched MOTD and seen ManU hammer the Baggies 4-0well, what did I expect:rolleyes:
OH is out for the day sailing and I have a feeling the kids are going to seriously get on my nerves -they're already arguing.
Breakfast -I don't know what they had as I was asleep:D
Lunch -Leek and pot soup from yesterday
Supper - Gammon and hm oven chips, maybe egg too and peas + tomatoes
Pudding -not sure, possibly baked apples and cream.
I must make a batch of bread and some thing for lunchbox snacks, and also je dois faire mes devoirs (I must do my French homework;) ).
Happy Sunday to everyone:j0 -
Pooky yes you can make jam from frozen fruit. It works just as well as using fresh fruit;) I do it quite often. I have a mixture of blackberries, raspberries, red and white currants and some gooseberries in my freezer that I think I will make into jumbleberry jam. You don't need to defrost the fruit first.
Rose hips make a good syrup apparently (I've not tried it) but I think it is a pretty labour intensive project.
By the way -totally agree with your first paragraph;)0 -
Morning all
Chilly here. Have put washing out just in case it drys. Didn't get on at all yesterday due to work. Then took DS to the pictures to see City of Ember and then to Nandos for tea. Really enjoyed the film, wasn't expecting to at all.
Hello to anyone new who's posting and big hugs to those who need one. OH told me that a dear colleague of mine died last night, she had breast cancer and had been ill for a while. I hope she had good care and a decent death after all the people she looked after.
OS wise am pottering about cleaning at the mo, put some lemon oil in with stardrops to clean the kitchen floor. Smells lovely. Need to clean out the fridge and bathroom too. Can't be too noisy as OH is on nights. Have trawled through the freezer. Tea is sausage plait (thanks Morwena for piccie) and veg. Need to do homework with DS and take him swimming.
Have a good day all
