Everything seems to be good from this end now..... touch wood. :)

    Typical. :rotfl:

As soon as I post that, I then get:
The MoneySavingExpert.com forums database has a minor glitch. This should rectify itself quite quickly. Usually waiting 30 seconds and refreshing will have it working fine. We are currently working on a long term solution that should make the forums more stable.

The site is really struggling for me today.
I keep getting the 30second wait screen appearing and when I type a post it takes ages to appear on the thread.

Which proves even with a good fast connection and really low ping, you cannot access this forum at it's normal speed. so that throws the hign ping comment right out the window doesn't it!!

Yes, that's why I included a speedtest report so webby could see it wasn't a problem with ISP or speed therefore must be something at their end ;)

Godders and Webmaster - thank you for posting.

Godders - I found your information interesting but way above my paygrade !
I'm just a bog standard internet user with minimal technical knowledge, in common with the majority of net users I guess. Speedtests mean little to me and pings even less.

Webmaster - wishing you and the team well in removing the glitches. My frustration - which may be shared by others - is that it all feels a bit like being stuck in a traffic jam with no idea when it will clear.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
