Today's been pain at work, really slow...Only an hour to go though.
Going for a week actually.Very MSE for me though as bf is paying for petrol (we were supposed to fly, but ryanair cancelled flights and bf was going to pay for those), staying at his brother's as it's his nephew's naming ceremony we're going for,so only really food to pay for and one night at B&B in Edinburgh on the way back. Never been in Edinburgh before so looking forward to it.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Hi I am here (sort of)
Well, after about 4 weeks or so of kids having Chicken Pox, they have been off sick from school for nearly a week now, the eldest two had high temperatures over 39, DD1 had it that high for 24 hours, Nurse at docs called and as she only had 2 of the symptoms of swine flu that they couldn't prescribe Tamiflu. Temps have been OK for about 3 days but they have coughs, DD2 was sick on Saturday night coughing, I did a nice Chicken Casserole which I wasn't pleased to see back again (sorry!), then last night DD1 had the same thing coughing and being sick. It is DD2's birthday today and I still had all her stuff to wrap up last night so didn't get to bed until 12.30am and DD1 was still up with me.
I had a doctors appointment today as I've had headaches and was told my blood pressure was high and am now on blood pressure tablets and have to go back in 3 weeks to get it checked again, I've been feeling sick for 2 days now so am not sure if it's due to the high bp or something else. Also just had stomach pains and an upset tummy.
Feel quite tired actually and worn out, am so glad we are going to my parents on Wednesday for a week so at least I can have a bit of a rest.
Just checked on eldest two as they were watching the Simpsons while I was uploading some Ebay stuff and they are both asleep. Please keep fingers crossed that they don't both start coughing and being sick.
Back later (hopefully).

Thanks CMD
To be honest I feel quite drained, am so looking forward to going to my parents on Wednesday, although my dad has a sore throat (he's been staying at my Nan's and she's a smoker so hopefully it's just the smoke making his throat sore).
OH is about as helpful as a chocolate teapot, I bought all DD1's birthday presents and he was meant to buy all DD2's birthday presents, but I've had to do it myself which I suppose is best as otherwise she would get a load of rubbish that she didn't want. He bought something from Tesco when he went there last and when he showed it to me I laughed, it was a thing that you stand on, has a ball at the bottom and you jump and hold onto these handles and do different types of jumps with it, it was for 8+ our children are 5, 4 today and 14 months!!
I've bought all the tea party things, done party bags and bought the cake, she's had a great day and even went to Nursery today for the Teddy Bears Picnic which she enjoyed.
Just need to get my brothers wedding out the way now and then I can breath a sigh of relief and seriously get debt busting.

Awww TMD you really are having a rough time. Glad DD had good birthday. Hope you're all soon fully recovered and fighting fit.
I miss party bags! Why don't adults get those? Often were the best part of the party. Always made it easier to cope with the fact the party was over :rotfl:

We have a house guest coming tonight about 8pm until 2nd August, OH's brother is going away and we are looking after their dog, Groucho. Apparently they 'don't afford him the luxury' of having a bed, so I am off in a minute to buy one for him to sleep on while he is here.
The kids and myself are going away tomorrow lunch time and I am so looking forward to it, although I will be worrying about the dog when OH is at work.
For those that have dogs, what do your dogs do when they are by themselves for long periods of time? Should OH leave the back door open a bit when he is at work so that he can go in and out, his brother doesn't have a garden they live in a flat so it will be quite an adventure for him.
Anyway, better go and hunt down a bed at Pets At Home, will be back later.

Hi TMD,
if the dog is not used to having access to garden, probably better leave him inside when not supervised, unless your garden is escape proof, no other animals around etc and you don't mind it (possibly) being wrecked by digging etc.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
TMD, if doggy is used to no outdoors I'd keep him inside as tirl says otherwise the ecitement maybe too much. Only proviso is that our OH wont be out of the house for too long
My car's in for a service today and had one call about 3 faults that need doing at "some time" the quotes for work were scary. I've gone for the urgent (and typically most expensive) with advisary notice on how long until other bits need doing. I'm expecting one huge bill :eek:Looking for the perfect home and saving to make becoming a MFW easier
