  • Nothing much going on here, withdrew £130 from Paypal yesterday, have sold a few things today, had 9 parcels this morning to post and 7 this afternoon, luckily the PO is at the end of my road.

I found my US dollars from my Hawaiian holiday in 2003, got $15 which is more than I thought I had, not sure what the exchange rate is at the moment or when is the best time to cash it in, but every little bit helps.

Hopefully will be able to pay my Barclaycard payment at the beginning of next week when money goes in.

Still haven't heard about my Virgin credit card application. My A&L card goes from 2.9% to 18.9% on 15 November so need to pay that one off first.

    Have put over £4 in my tins today, had 2 £2 coins, a couple of 20p's a 5p and 1 1p.

Hospital appointment tomorrow at 10.20 so lots of vibes for a gall stone free liver would be great.

ClearMy-I hit that point as well, but say just 3 more reviews and then wait for the rates to knock you up to the 10k.
How much do they redeem for in amazon vouchers?
I've just wrote out 2 reviews, so hit the 10k now so quite happy but I actually want the 50k so I can withdraw it as cash.... its all about the cash with me!

    Hey CAFCGirl,

10k in miles at dooyoo is a £10 Amazon voucher. I took your advice and just went for it and wrote 2 reviews this evening. Will write another 2 tomorrow and should have enough for a voucher. I am using the vouchers for Xmas presents. I have gotten a few presents and wrapped them already. Quite pleased with this as I am usually disorganised!

  • Morning all!, well got a letter from A&L yesterday (waiting for them to return my £13 overpayment that they owe me from when I paid my CC off and paid too much) I had asked them to close the account and send me a cheque by return, instead they have sent me a letter saying they can't refund me as they don't have my bank account details, hmm that's strange when, a I asked for a cheque and b, they took a DD out of my account last month!!!!!

So I have to ring them today, I just want my money back!!!, anyway, have managed to pay a bit more off hubbys A&L card this morning and my mint card so I'm a 15th of the way there to that paper hat now!!!

  • Well done MillieMonster,

You are well on your way to the 15K hat! You must be delighted to have so much paid off.

I paid £65 off my credit card this morning. There is only another £235 left on it now so am determined to have that paid off before Xmas. I feel so impatient for payday because I want to update my signature. Not that it will be updated by 1000's or anything but every little bit helps!

    Morning everyone.

I haven't been around much since my laptop died so feel a bit lost with this thread at the moment.

New laptop should be here today so should be back online more from today yippeee.

Been paid but not sorted out my overpayments yet so thats a job for later. I have been buying a few xmas presents though as determined not to be super skint in January. Doing really well and have well over half of my presents sorted now.

  • Hey doodledoo,

Welcome back! It's good to see you. Well done on the Xmas presents. It's a great feeling isn't it? I have some of mine gotten and wrapped and it feels good, like I am organised. Need to buy some more when I get paid. I am also determined not be skint for Jan, although I have a feeling I might be as I am going to Barcelona for my birthday in Jan but will try and do loads of AQA in November and December to cushion the blow!

Yeah it does feel good, need to write a list of what I have and who I have left to buy for in case I get carried away and buy too much lol.

I applied for AQA last week but never received the application pack back. Maybe they have heard about me lol.

  • Not at all! It is most likely they are swamped with applications and yours got lost. It might be worth your while emailing them with a gentle reminder as the applications close quite quickly when they release new jobs.
