Hi all - I put in my expenses claim today for over £320! Should get paid it within a couple of weeks - but I've not included the CC its on in the £15K challenge as I am using it purely for cash back.

I have just withdrawn £12.50 of bingo winnings from another site... So potentially when it lands it will be more money to put towards debt !

Hope everyone is doing okay. I keep not qualifying for surveys - incredibly frustrating...

  • Mike - I just checked and I must be going mad as I didn't do the Euromillions, I swear I had bought a ticket online, I checked the numbers and none of the ones I would have done have come up so I guess I saved myself £1.50.

Savingholmes - wow that is a huge amount of expenses. Are these Bingo sites worth it? I saw an advert on TV earlier if you deposit £10 they give you £20 but do you have to spend that on the Bingo, surely they won't just let you withdraw it.

CAFCGirl - Hope you sorted your 'crowsnest' out - LOL! Have a good day at work, glad you are getting the rest of your expenses back. I have to buy 2 Halloween outfits as we are going to kids party on Friday, ToysRUs have buy one get one free so am off there in a mo before they sell out. Will use my Debit card, not touching my credit cards anymore, will just have to risk going overdrawn slightly.

  • Good morning everyone. Hope the sun is shining where everyone else is!

I have my sister over for the weekend so have a night out tonight, hoping not to spend too much. Have ordered pizzas and dough balls from Sainsbury's so that will save us from eating out tomorrow night!

Hi - what you do is join a cashback site quidco, cashbackkings, pigsback, ipoints etc (almost any one of us on here can refer you - except for quidco which doesn't pay referrals) - what you then do is join a bingo site which gives you at least your original stake as cash back - mecca for example on one of the sites gives £30 cash back for a £10 stake. You do NOT go direct based on the TV ads because then your original stake isn't safe (ie you don't get cash back).

I have probably joined 8 different ones costing me £10 each and have in total won about £80 so I've just about broken even anyway. However I have "earned" probably between 1 and 4 times my stake in cash back depending on the particular offer. There are restrictions like you have to have x amount in your account to withdraw - but what you do is spend all your original stake - (to get the cash back) and then put in say another £20 so you can withdraw your winnings. so you deposit and then withdraw your second deposit and winnings straightaway. You then only go back for free games. Do not join if you are a bingo fan (or likely to get carried away) - for me personally I can't imagine anything more boring.

You can do the same with betting sites but I can't work out how to bet eg on betfair so I haven't!:o I did bet £10 on coral - lost the bet but got £25 cashback anyway from a seperate site so didn't lose out but gained £15 net;)

Beware you may need to use your debit card as the credit card will treat it as a cash advance. M&S whacked on a £3 transaction fee which I will be complaining to them about...

Just printed another £2 in coupons from this site so that's a good start to the morning:rotfl:

Have a great debt busting day everyone!

 well I decided to treat myself today and went all the way to Matalan (about 15 miles or so) bought 3 tops for about £30 and was really chuffed - only problem is OH says in 1 I look pregnant, in the 2nd it looks okay but you've got stuff you look better in and 3rd one - did you buy that in the right size 'cos it looks a bit tight! The third was however his and my DS's favourite... so may keep the third one and take 2 back saving about £20 or so... but I'm gutted.:o His immortal line was - if you lose a few pounds it'll look better so you can always keep it  My own fault for asking what "its nice" meant!:rotfl:

Debt busting wise not much progress but have made another couple of finished baskets - mostly from stuff I already had so pleased with that... I managed to pick up some nice white baskets in Homebase a few days ago for £1.49 which show the things off beautifully! Just OH, mum, nephews and the odd CD or DVD for DS left to buy and Xmas and January birthdays are sorted...:j Got 2 DVDs we wanted from Play.com for £1 each using nestle codes in the special cereal boxes...
