    How come savingholmes?
Hi Tirlittan - new job is for a company that is extremely bureaucratic. In my early career I got told not to do a rolls royce job where a mini would do (too time consuming and expensive) - here they go beyond rolls royce level - which they would probably think is a compliment but which to me means they over-complicate what are actually fairly simple, every day things... The person before me has done such an ace (if over the top) job that I can't see what work they need me to do...

I would rather work in a role where there were more obvious and needed things to do rather than create work almost for the sake of it which is what I think I will end up doing....

It is early days, and I may settle in. For the first 2 days I was absolutely shattered from the long hours, commute and early start. I was nearly falling asleep and had buzzing in my ears almost like I was going to faint for the whole day.... That has at least improved yesterday and today I was fairly awake! :rotfl:

Culturally it is at the other end of the spectrum compared to recent companies I have worked for which were far more concerned with saving the pennies not just the pounds! I am going thro culture shock currently! I may recover, if not I will move on at the first opportunity!

    evening all

killer day for me and i am crackered, feeling a little bit better although training at work was highly strung because i was so emotionally all over the place....

however....a bonus scheme has been put into place but im not sure i stand any real chance of achieving it, but we shall see.....

thnk DH has finally twigged just how unbelievably unsupportive he has been...and how upset i am all the live long day, think we'll chat about it later but my eyes are so tired from all the crying, it'll be an achievement just to stay awake....

Glad to hear you're getting some R&R CAFC. Hopefully some lovely dinner too!

I had chinese MSE style - bought at supermarket and made the rice from scratch :j

SH sorry to hear new job not going too well. Am I right you're still waiting to hear about a different one? Very glad the buzzing has stopped

I had one of those days where it just didn't stop but do I care now the weekend has landed. Fingers crossed the sunshine stays too.
Looking for the perfect home and saving to make becoming a MFW easier

CAFCGirl - glad you're relaxing and OH is pulling his weight.

SH - sounds like a frustrating company to work for. I like the Mini/Rolls Royce quote - it makes complete sense. I second Shelley - ringing in ears isn't good, glad it's stopped.

Happy weekend everyone! I'm about to make a curry, very MSE ;)
