    Morning all.

    Hope you holding up TooMuch.

And have to agree with CMD CAFCGirl, sounds like your OH needs to step up a bit. It definitely sounds like you're the driving force, but you can't do it all on your own, especially as you working for both of you. Good luck!

Not much to report, but funny how we seem to have lows at the same time. I can't stop thinking about money, and how I can financially manage to do everything I want and how I can manage to live like this for another two years at least! It's hard and disheartening, but somehow we manage to keep going. This thread is a great support network, you know you can talk about anything cos you know we've all been there and will understand.

    Morning Tirlittan, and everyone else!

Got paid so £200 paid off my loan. I have paid off some credit cards but won't include them in my signature until my flights to Oz have been paid off, as I didn't include add the flight prices on to my existing debt. Very very quiet month for me this month. I hope to make as much as I can on AQA, alongside my OH so we can get these flights paid off ASAP. Hopefully my OH will hear back about his back tax as well as that would clear the flights and we could really concentrate on getting the Virgin card paid off.

    Hi CMD,

when are you off to OZ then? Bet it's lovely to go and see family and in such a lovely place as well! :) Lucky you. I'd like to go back home this year, but not sure I can get the money together. Is AQA hard and how you get doing it?

    Hi,

Not going til Oz until November so hopefully we will have some savings by then if OH has a job.

AQA is quite difficult to get into, and they are very fussy but I do enjoy it. I have been doing if for about 17 months and on average make about £100 per month. Although the last time I went to Oz I made £400 the month before as I was working really hard at it.

    The web address is:

    http://www.aqa.63336.com/vacancies.htm

They aren't looking for UK researchers at the moment but keep your eye on it as the positions fill up quickly. There is a thread on it here somewhere and it gives good advice.

Think I remember seeing that thread and people had really hard time getting on it, they were fussy about spelling and answers etc...Think I gave it a miss last time as too much hassle, but good to keep your options open.

I could do with a part time job, but just don't have the time. I think I need to start looking at better paid jobs. Plus I'm so bored with this one, there's no challenge or stimulation at all. I could do better, maybe I'm just lazy...

No, your not lazy! If you were lazy you wouldn't be thinking about getting a part-time job or another job altogether!

Thanks for the vote of confidence, I guess it's more you get comfortable in what you do, and if it's not your main focus, it's easier not to have the hassle of looking for other jobs if you really don't need to.

    Afternoon everyone,

Hurrah, it's nearly the weekend! :j

CAFCGirl, hope you manage to get some rest and TLC at the weekend. It's great that you like your job, you're very lucky in that respect. It sounds like a talk with DH might help. If he's set on doing the marathon, maybe you could come up with a list of goals that you'll support each other with until then. So you support him with the marathon (I don't know, make him energy drinks or massage his feet!), and he gets on board with the debt reduction and housework. Then hopefully he'll stick to the habit after the marathon is over!

Or jut send him an invoice for all the washing, cooking etc. :D

Hope I'm not sounding too bossy here!

CMD - will keep you updated on the travel plans. Let us know about Australia too! Out of interest, how many hours do you put in a month with AQA to earn 100 pounds?

tirlittan - you don't sound lazy to me, just really organised. Have you thought of dooyoo as a kind of part-time job? It doesn't pay that well but you don't have to leave home to do it. It's great to check your account and see that the pennies have piled up overnight (even if they are just pennies). I've made 14 pound this week and that's just from writing one review a day and reading other people's.

Toomuchdebt - sorry to hear you're down at the moment. Any chance you can have a rest over the weekend?

Right, I'm off to get some exercise...

HI all - OH thinks I should quit my new job! I'm not sure how that would go down with the agency who placed me or job seekers for that matter! Must be fate - can't talk to the person at the agency - they finished early today.

CAFCgirl 4am is ridiculous. Your OH defo needs a kick up the proverbial to help more! Keep your chin up!

TMD et al - hope you are all okay!
