Hi guys - I can't think of anything debt wise to do today - am trying to get someone else to take my DS to an event to save time and petrol. We are moving furniture around and hope to avoid spending on new furniture but if that doesn't work may buy a new item at £50 for my DS's room! My hair drier broke today - so need a new one - may wait until tomorrow! We are having a gorgeous chicken in wine sauce that I cooked last night.... now that should last a few days... that must be money saving surely?

Have a great long weekend all!

SH, your day sounds pretty MSE to me - no takeaways in sight, just good home-cooking. How's everyone else getting on? :T

Evening, I've had a lovely day. Met up with family in Cambridge and mouched round the shops then sunbathed in the park all afternoon. Think I've caught a bit of colour.

Bought some lovely glittery eyeliner - 2 for £5 plus I get a 10% discount in Boots :j

Haven't really done anything money saving but will happily mention !!!! to please Doodledo. Although I like to remind everyone it was PAID that started the rude talk :o:rotfl:

Oh well ladies, do you remember when I talked about travel being my big downfall. I sort of fell off the wagon big style today.

Myself and OH booked flights to Oz. My brother rang today and asked if we would be godparents for my 1st nephew. I was so thrilled and as they live in Sydney we booked flights over.

Don't all shoot me.The flights were only £520 each. Am on AQA now to pay them off!

CMD, so jealous. You couldn't turn down your brother either. How many AQA will you have to do to pay off £1040 :rotfl:

I love Oz, I spent 7 weeks travelling there once and did not get bored ( I promise those are my only two prolonged hols)

CMD, you lucky thing! Being a godparent's a good enough reason to justify the flights I reckon :D

Thanks ladies, yeah I don't think I could turn him down either.

It's my 4th time there in 4 years though so feels a bit excessive!
