  • Hi all!

Hope everyone is well and had a lovely weekend. Had a very non-MSE weekend. Went into London with OH and we treated ourselves to a lovely hotel. We got a great deal though (last minute) and went in on the bus and back on a £3 advance train ticket so saved about £34 on the train, which went towards the hotel.

Had a lovely time though and there was a great atmosphere. The tenants have paid the rent so at least they haven't done a bunk (very relieved about that). I am having a very quiet week this week and need to sort out what nights I will go out over Xmas (so I can plan accordingly).

    How is everyone?

Glad you had a good time Friday night Tirlittan.

Well I didn't get into AQA. No idea why but hey never mind. Onto plan B.

Not sure what that one is yet though lol

    Hiya,

Just seen your post. I have no idea how you didn't get into AQA. It is very questionable actually. Your responses and grammar were spot on?????

Maybe they just filled the posts before they got through to my application or maybe they know something about me I don't lol.

Bit annoying as would have been ideal for my circumstances. Now I really must get my head round match betting as not many other options open to a full time working, single mother lol

  • I think the most likely explanation is they filled the posts before they got to yours. It is infuriating though, at least if they said that it would make sense.

Definately, it's rather an easy cop out to just send a standard "no" letter isn't it.

  • Yeah, it's rubbish so it is. They could easily file all the applications and contact people in the next round. Please don't be too disheartened. The standard of your answers were excellent.

  • Another £20 to pay off my debts. Won't update credit card signature until it comes off it. That is defo me until the beginning of Jan. Have nothing else to throw at the debts and have done up my Xmas calendar and have a lot of night to go out on. Will have to watch the cash. I will be under 21k (just) by the beginning of Jan so that is a nice feeling. Cannot wait to get under 20k!!!
