Just record everything you want to watch and then play it on the big screen in January when you are too skint to do anything else (or is it just me that does that EVERY January?)£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Past and pesto for January I think (if pesto wasn't so expensive)
Big bottle of Olive oil, a fresh basil plant and some cheap pine nuts toasted and you can make endless amounts far cheaper. Plus my Jan favourite of value beans on value bread

lol - I just killed my basil plant
he had gone strong for ages but then I really neglected him, I think I will have to steal a cutting from a friends and see if I can cultivate a new one.
Hmmm, not really a fan of beans, am wondering how 'rubber' I can make a packet of mince, perhaps a chilli with LOTS of value kidney beans, value tinned tomatoes and padded with lentils. I reckon I could stretch it to ten days....£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Yeah when you're all off on your holidays and Shelley is watching her big fat tele, I'll be sat here, with a wind up radio, and cold beans from a tin..... but at least I'll have my leadership papers to keep me warm :A

I haven't got any holidays planned until August - and even that one I can claim the cost back on.... I've been very good really honest - oh leader....(makes bowing and scraping motions)...:rotfl:
Anyway - CAFCgirl aren't you moving flat? Got new furniture recently? And a pug I do believe? Not just the leadership papers to keep you warm then....:p
Seriously - your mum was right - visualise other people's shopping as heavy bags of debt:p , and your own necessities as virtuous and light as a feather.... I'm thrillllllllllllllllllllllllllllllled that this xmas - since I started hamper making in July on the finished baskets thread - there should be no impact on my budget...(of xmas) First time ever...
The worst cost for me right now is DS's party very soon after xmas - he wants pizza hut and cinema but only for 2 mates... Am wondering about doing Dominoes and cinema (can get ipoints vouchers for less for Dominoes than pizza hut!!!) LOLAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hiya all!Got my wages today, but not pay slip yet, so can't do anything about the 'extra' money I have coming in form of back pay and not paying pension anymore. Went to see Tracy Chapman in concert on Friday night and didn't have to pay a penny as it was all covered by my darling BF as part of my birthday present.
Was absolutely fantastic!!! Almost done with XMas presents as well, only two to go. Only buying for little brother, godson and his new born baby sister plus BF of course. Spent more on kids than planned, but never mind. DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
