Hi Nitha - welcome!
I've just withdrawn £10 from Butlins due to free daily scratch cards and the £1 free real money they give you regularly! I must admit I've been sucked into playing bingo on one of my other scratch card sites... oops!
Tirlittan I know what you mean about books - I recently donated 4 crates to charity as I couldn't get anyone to buy them. Was upsetting but there we go...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I've just had to buy 2 party dresses, and presents for 4 little girls. Went to Sainsbury's at 9pm it's nice at that time not busy at all. Got two purple dresses £20 each they had 25% off clothes and accessories so got the dresses for £15 each (will sell on Ebay at a later date), I got a pack of tights to go with the dresses, one pair of shoes as Stephanie's school ones are all scuffed and not really party shoes. Bought some Charlie and Lola slippers they were £6 each with £1.50 off each (25% discount). Got 4 little stockings, 4 necklaces with 25% off so saved 66p per necklace, 4 chocolate father christmas' and some potatoes and veg for dinner tomorrow and Sunday, been an expensive day what with posting the purpleness. Got myself a mini fillet burger and small chips from KFC on my way home it satisfied the fast food urge and only £2.18, I had Pepsi Max here so didn't need a drink.
Bf is working the weekend so a long boring two days ahead with the kids driving me nuts - does anyone else's kids argue from the minute they get up until the minute they go to bed? It's a nightmare!!Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
Sounds great on all those bargains TMD
Shelley - I'd adopt the parent tone on the HDTV but we've already got one... hmmm where did all those debts come from
Someone was also talking on another thread about getting a wii for xmas and I thought what a lot of £ and then remembered we'd already got one of them too :rotfl:
It's easy to tell other people to keep their £ in their pocket when you've already got the things they are talking about
So on xmas we're being quite restrained but since previously we bought a lot of what we fancied it has probably not been that too big a hardship. Luckily lots of other people buy for our kids too so they won't suffer either.
BTW I went to bed at 6pm last night I was so tired.... I'm sure that has to have been cost saving...:rotfl: I knew it was a bit ridiculous when I'd turned the heating up to 30, was wearing 2 fleeces and had the living room gas fire on full blast! Funnily enough, I think the fire went off when I went upstairs and OH turned the heating down!
