Well done CAFC, delighted to hear that!
ShelleyC and well done on the payments!
TooMuch , sounds like that would be very frustrating alright!
Hello to everyone else!
My £43 came through on my credit card today so was able to update! Also spoke to the agents and they haven't been able to contact the tenants yet but they are transferring some of the deposit to me so at least there will be money in my mortgage account. Am still so mad at the tenants and they are ignoring all phone calls as well.

Ta my lovely....
Was also discussing today with my mum, what presents people could get us if they wanted, to help with our more frugal living in the new year.... and an electric blanket was top of my list as I can see heating a 2 bed period cottage is going to be significantly more than a new build gff!
Feel a bit lacklustre since I havent been able to pay off as much as last month which is a shame but by the end of january we should get best of £1k back from our deposit for old flat so that will come in really handy, and pay that straight off a credit card..... but its all a waiting game till the next months money comes in! GAH!
Doing pretty well foodwise though and managing to stay within my food shop budget.Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Evening all, nice to see people making such progress! Wow, CAFC, with a grand to put towards the paper hat you're going to racing ahead next year - the rest of us will have to get our skates on . Have you thought of getting a slow cooker for your new place? I've never used one but the OS boards are always recommending them.
I've had an NSD today (not planned but am still not well) and have well and truly got dooyoo review fatigue. Think I'll put some change in my sealed pot then go to bed..... I'm going away tomorrow for the weekend :j but will keep a tight (ish) hold on the purse strings, I promise.
Have a great weekend everyone! x0 -

Hi all...
Well from a DFW viewpoint good news - one of my xmas meals is cancelled / postponed until Jan.... I think that alone should save me between £30-50! Some of them were spending up to another £200 just on a room overnight!!!
My job while not safe, should be okay for 3 or so more months, (I was worried it might be at risk by end Jan / mid Feb!!) Still need to focus on putting savings away in case don't get next job straightaway...
Been given hampers from work which is my first time ever - quite nice too... I can see some of the items ending up in finished baskets on the special occasions board!!:D
 Scratch cards - you can join a St minever site (eg Butlins or Chit Chat) thro a cashback site - wager up to £10 to get cashback - but make sure you've done a free daily scratch card first - as long as you have real money in your account you can do a daily scratch card. Takeaway bingo also offer free scratch cards but you have to have a real balance - not been able to find a cash back site to do that thro yet... Yesterday I made £1 just on free scratch cards so was really chuffed.:p
My points still haven't been added yet to get my free dyson. I did have a free carpet clean today... from a kirby cleaning company - quite chuffed about that too - I like freebies!:rotfl: It looks as good as it did when we moved in 2.5 years ago!!
Doodledoo - how have you got on with AQA...?
I'm getting paid early - so my paper hat figure could be going up again very soon! Unfortunately they have short changed me on my expenses by a third!!!! Completely unimpressed - I've decided to submit weekly expenses from now on as I can't afford them to do things like this... I wouldn't mind so much but if feels like a power play rather than an oversight... they don't know when the next payment run will be...
OH has found £50 in cheques he had lost - so I am adding that to my £10 a day challenge total... quite chuffed about that...
Bye for now... Off to look at electronic banking and see how our accounts are doing...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Doodledo - how tough were the questions?! I'm good on some things and terrible on others so not sure it'd be me for but everything crossed for you :j
I've finally got my mitts on my AmEx cash back card - 5% for 3/12. Now fighting the impulse to spend Christmas bonus on plasma TV cos it'll earn me money :rotfl: Got to think how much better it'll feel if its sitting in a savings account earning rubbish interest :rolleyes:Looking for the perfect home and saving to make becoming a MFW easier

It's hard isn't it when you have a lump of cash at your disposal.
The questions were ok. About half were quite easy look up on google style. A few were more random, one was "will I get a boyfriend".
The hardest part for me was fitting the answer into the number of characters they allow and for it to still make sense lolProud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712
