I had to stop buying craft mags because they very quickly became this massive pile gathering dust in my bedroom! I have about 6 here at the moment. I shall scan anything I want to keep a note of and then dump the mags in the doctors waiting room next time I go. 'Clear it out, pass it on' is going to be my motto I think! :)

Been out shopping for a blouse/shirt for my wedding. Got a lovely blue one in M&S for under £10. Bargain! And I've seen the shoes I want too for £10.

Can I get a hot chocolate with mallows and squooshy cream please?

May I have a hot toddy and maybe even some soup or boiled egg and soldiers. I am feeling sorry for myself today, this cold is getting on my nerves and I wish it would go. Still I can be pleased, I haven't been out spending so today is my first NSD:j

It's easy to get rid of old magazines - freecycle them or give them to your friends. I offered some to the cardiac unit at my local hospital (my friend works there) and was told that they don't allow magazines because they are a health hazard so the poor patients have to sit in silence with no tv nor a magazine:rolleyes:

Cold and bright. Fountain iced over so we will take that into the shed. I've a busy day ahead as we have our concert this evening.. handbells at Broxbourne.
Good morning to all the lurkers, the cafe is open and welcomes people to the cheery place where all ailments have melted away and our hearts are full of cheer.
Talking of cheer... I've just ordered a virtual coffee and brandy to go with my choccie biscuits (again virtual as I have just had real breakfast).
    Good day all

Good morning everyone ... am just hiding from dG-D2! She is staying with me for a few days, and is a real sweetie... but I've done more since Thursday than I'd do in a normal month put together!

ME, the hand bells sounds lovely, I do wish I lived close enough to come to one of your concerts. If you are ever in the North Staffs area, do let me know.

Horace, hope you are holding up ((((hugs))))) this virus that is going around is awful. Do keep warm and look after yourself.

I'm just going to enjoy a quiet coffee with some of that yummy pecan pie, and a curl up on the sofa with my book, for a while.

Morning all, just nipped in for a coffee and a biscuit before I head off to the kitchen cupboards. I was so tired last night I just left a pile of stuff sitting on the side to finish up this morning. I've checked my christmas cards and have enough for this year, so that's a job for later on today. Not surew whats for lunch in RL, I have a few veggies laying around so maybe a vegetable stew with dumplings ;)

    Later folks! :hello:

We have a lot of comfy chairs in the cafe, or just pull your bed into the cafe... the virtual elves will pull the bed in... no need to exert yourselves. The handbell concert was lovely and the children's choir sang beautifully too. I did quite a few bum notes but nobody noticed, did you?
I'll be sitting by the fire and writing Christmas Cards. OH is at the dentist, hope it is not too expensive.

Oh Dragon (((((hugs))))) are you any better today?

ME, I didn't hear any duff notes - but then I'm tone deaf :rotfl:

I've put the coffee perker on, and there's a pot of porridge bubbling away on the stove, just help yourselves. I've also put a bowl of chopped fresh fruit in that little camping fridge by the fire so you can nibble without getting up from the sofa.

I'm off to take GD2 to the train station, and then I'll probably collapse in the corner for a while, so just ignore me :D
