Hi all,
Oh boy, I'm so excited tonight as after trashing my pc yesterday (!!!!! ... long story!), I've got it going again and sorted out my long standing sound issues as a result  ......... so my 5.1 speakers and woofer are now working beautifully again. Will turn it on tomorrow and you'll all hear it wherever the cafe is :rotfl: .
Also, I've just had an email about my chinchilla cages and I'll get them in about 11 days. I can't wait as they will help me enormously and be so much better for my furballs, plus I'll get my table back by the window so can watch the birds for real as I do other things.
Tuesday will be dedicated to sorting out my car insurance which is now desperately urgent, but I'll try to pop in as the paninis sound delicious.
The cleaning fairies have been in alto, as it all looks nice and tidy. After a large full monty hot chocolate with obligatory brandy, I'd better get back to real world and tidy up for real before going to bed. Have a good day.0 -
Opens up - puts a pot of coffee on, takes the chairs off the tables, puts nice cloths on the tables. Cake crumbs given to the birds, cats put out, fire stoked.
Porridge made and bubbling away - salt, sugar and golden syrup available. Croissants warming nicely. There's a full english if anyone wants.
Must dash.0 -
that porridge went down very nicely, thanks. just finished the cleaning and scrubbing - so the place is all shiny....0

The Dragon has a naval destroyer now ..
HMS Dragon launched yesterday.
I am quite chipper this morning, which is good as it is husband's birthday.
We are enjoying our new retirement. We have completed the crossword from Saturday. Time in the cafe helps there.
Brain works better after a calming and also uplifting visit to everyone.
Might go out for lunch.
Gooseberry crumble is on the menu here.

Happy Birthday Mr M.E. :T:T:T
I just called in to say hello really, but I smelled the gooseberry crumble - I LOVE goose-gogs (as we used to call them), so I'll just help myself to some with a dollop of that yummy pecan icecream.
Then I've got to dash - its my craft group today and I'm late already
The sun has come out here and it is promising to be a nice day. Hope you're all doing okay xxI'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
I remember pinching the goose-gogs from our bushes when I was little, and I remember my father telling me off too! I used to pinch all the fruit if he didn't keep an eye on me, and I still love peas straight from the pod .... what a pain I must have been
hope you're all having a good day. I'm slow starting today. don't feel too good so just taking it quietly.
I'm sorting out my recipe folders  I cleared them all out a few years ago but since finding Old style I've accumulated hundreds more ...... I'll see if I can find anything interesting for the caff!
later peeps!... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

Flippin' 'eck, have I been asleep in this corner all night? If I do that too many times, I'll have to bring my dog-basket in here!:o
OK, I'll head for the kitchen and see what goodies I can put together.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Oooh a destroyer named after me! What an honour!!
