Morning all - fires warmed the place up nicely, the cats certainly know where to sit don't they.
Thanks to Lucy we have plenty of hot water, so I'll get on with setting the place up for the breakfast rush....0 -
Coffee brewing nicely. I've a range of liquors to add and 'special' coffee sugar.....
Tia Maria, Whisky, Brandy - take your pick.....0 -
Morning all, I'll just grab a mug of tea and a toasted teacake and settle down for a while to read the paper. Not been in much as been having new windows fitted, all done now thank goodness and made a huge difference in cutting down draughts already. :j
Priority today is to get the house back to normal and maybe do some baking, I feel a madeira cake coming on .......... I'll make an extra one for the caff... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

Good afternoon Alto, goodness you've been busy, the cafe looks sparkling!
Mmmmmm...... Rosie, that maderia cake smells wonderful! I'll just curl up on the sofa with a mug of Alto's special coffee - baileys for me please - and wait for the cake to come out of the oven......
Ah, this is the life.... zzzzzzzzI'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
I could do with sitting here being fed and watered (well regular cups of tea and the occasional calorie free, virtual piece of cake!), I am about a week behind on my NaNoWriMo writing AND behind on my stitching so guess what I am doing today!
So a mug of tea please and a large slice of that decadent Jack Daniels laced chocolate mousse cake!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Went to a raucous Divali party last night. Youngsters dancing Bollywood style and DJ and drums really very loud indeed.
Raised money for Muttom a village in southern India affected by the tsunami, which my daughters' school helps by having built a school.
We even had fireworks, which were very pretty indeed.
Today I have been cooking up the defrosted chicken pieces (from the freezer that went phut). Neighbours will freeze the casserole portions for me.
Hopefully I will be able to sit and do some cross-stitch, even if virtually [STRIKE]mentally [/STRIKE] in the lovely cafe with everyone.
Madeira cake and tea at 4pm please.
