Sorry not been in all day - firstly my chap hogged my laptop again, then a chum came round to pick up some hampers for her Fastaid fund raiser. My chap took me out for dinner late this afternoon after which we came home and watched tv for a while - he has now gone off to coventry but before he went he mooched in my fridge which is bare and said that I needed food and gave me £100:j . Can't spend it all on me because I have to go to Lidl tomorrow to buy him a ski watch (it does fancy things) and 5 pairs of sunglasses (he abandons them in bars - silly man). Luckily his stuff only comes to £35 leaving the rest for me.
Think I will have a slice of that yummy madeira cake Rosieben - thanks for bringing it in, I shall sit here by the fire eating it and sipping a mug of hot tea.
Hope everybody has had a lovely day - I shall bring in some more candles tomorrow and maybe some longlife bulbs just in case M.E's electric personality makes them go again.:rotfl:0 -
Where is everybody? First here again! Fire made, cats fed, surfaces wiped down, kettle and soup on. Sorted. Hope everyones feeling good this morning, just started raining here.
Christmas shopping trip was a waste of time on Saturday, I couldn't find anything for DD. OH has gone to hospital for his pre-op assesment, he's having a knee replacement next week. Off to do some secret shoppingSee you all later.

The robin is back in the garden with attitude.
The freezer/fridge saga will continue as I have to phone the engineer and get fobbed off again!
Had a dose of coffee so I'm feeling brighter. I will have to do some paperwork.
Can I sit in the corner with my laptop and surround myself with the very boring reports?
I shall be retired at Christmas so this last bit of work is rather boring.
I'm planning a trip to India with my daughter in January so have been surfing rather than writing reports.
I shall have to make the gooseberry crumble today...
what is the main menu for lunch?

Its a dreadfully gloomy day today so I think that the cafe should move to sunny Australia - maybe Melbourne or Sydney but it has to be warm and sunny:D
Now today I have bought with me 10 energy saving light bulbs, some head torches (well you never know when they will come in handy) and some tealights as we can always stick them in some jam jars.
Lunch today - well, we could have some hot cornish pasties with mixed veg and gravy, caramelised onion and red pepper tartlet for the veggies and maybe some soup. I can also rustle up some steak & onion baguettes...mmmm0 -
TaDa!!! A new piece of kit for the cafe, I give you the panini maker! Just right for those "I want something quick but it is freezing" moments" Mozzerella, tomato and basil anyone? Oh and I can make a mean tuna melt as well, now if someone could just pass that huge mug of tea over ...... aaaaaaah, that's better!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Afternoon all.
I've brought a big box of my home-made candles; I re-use wax from old ones, and just buy wick to put in. There's all sorts of colours, so you can choose to suit the mood or time of day.:o
To be honest, I'm not a terribly well Wolf today, had a very busy weekend, and still can't seem to learn to pace myself, so I'm always a bit under the weather on Mondays.
Had to go into Central Milton Keynes on Saturday to book an appointment with the optician. I have to go once a year, because I'm on Plaquenil. Got appointment for Monday 1st December,;Mr LW is on leave then, so he'll be able to take me. But I am NOT going into town on a Saturday again til Xmas is over. It was packed, and I really don't like crowds.
Anyway, I'll have a small bucket of coffee, and I think a slice of Madeira cake will go down well.;) Then I'll just relax in the corner here. Give me a nudge (gently please) if I fall alseep. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
sorry i'm late in today. been out to take my daughter to a friends for a couple of days. was lovely driving through Keith - divine smell in the air (whisky fumes - VERY heady).
M.E. don't look forward too much to retirement....:T:T:T you'll have too much to do and won't be able to find time to all you want to ... :j:A:eek:
Envy you the chance to travel to India - not too sure about surfing though ....0 -
