Passes Alto a large mug filled with Tia Maria and a slug of coffee and drags up a chair so that he can rest his weary bones.

Carbonel - just boot the cats out they are getting far too fat and they haven't caught a rat all week, the outside traps that I set are working a treat:D

I can remember growing up the 60's/70's - it was fab. Us kids would scrabble through a hole in our hedge and go and play in the fields behind our house (now a housing estate). We were careful not to let Mr Goode (the farmer) catch us because we liked to catch his cows and ride them:eek: We also made dens in the hedges. All we would take with us would be a jam sandwich and a beaker of juice - if we wanted water we would drink it from the stream or if we could find a spring bubbling up take it from there. I can remember scrumping apples from the fruit farm once and the gamekeeper shooting at us with rock salt in his cartridges - boy does that sting when it gets you:eek: I was alright until I got home because one of my friends dobbed to his mum who rang my mum and I got a thick ear:rolleyes: Those were the days, I can also remember when we had so much snow the teachers couldnt get into school, only one made it and she lived next door (Mrs Rycoff - a horrid woman), the milkman couldnt get down the road either so we kids would go out with our sledges and pick the milk up and deliver it..aah those were the days:D

Evening all, well for now, I'm no longer a student (well technically I still am but I'm interrupting). Feel quite relieved.

Ok, time for me to push off and get Mr LW's dins on the go. Not sure if I'll be around tomorrow, as Mr LW is working from home, so if I don't get in here, I'll see you on Monday.

*loads the dishwasher, puts the Baileys back in the fridge, sweeps the crumbs under the carpet, and leaves the key under the milk bottle for the morning*

  • Opens the shutters, tuts loudly as he finds crumbs under the carpet....tut tut tut...gets out broom and sweeps the crumbs into the corner for the mice ....

Right, kettle on; I've brought in a bread maker, coffee machine and a free-fat fryer....All now switched on with ingredients in, so I'll just put my feet up and wait for the first customer....

That'll be me then! Morning all.
Thanks for the prep Alto - I'll have an almond latte and some ginger nuts to dunk.

Here's some home-made damson jam for the scones, I'm sure somebody will bring in the cream.

Daisy - thanks for clearing up last night, we all ought to put our empties in the dishwasher as we go along and put the crumbs out for the birds on the bird table. That one there on the terrace:rotfl:

Horace - I agree these cats are getting fat - and lazy too, they should be tipped out in the morning and not allowed back in till they have been twice round the park!

See you all at lunchtime- I'll bring some home-made chutney in:D

Morning all...just a flying visit today, got up late again (shakes fist at ceiling - noisy girls upstairs:mad: ).

    Goodies bought in:

    Some real clotted cream
    Cadbury's Flakes
The last remaining salad leaves from my windowbox
Tomatoes, Onions and fresh herbs (basil, parsley, chives, sage, rosemary & thyme).
Oh and before I forget some braising steak and a bottle of tia maria

I wonder if it is a tad early for a tia maria coffee with cream.... for health reasons naturally! I have physio this afternoon, but I don't suppose he will smell virtual alcohol on my breath, will he?

Oh go on then, you've persuaded me.... make in a large one please, I'm frozen.

Daisy, I would say that it's essential for you to have a wee drop of Tia Maria before physio - you do need to be relaxed after all:rotfl:

And my advice would be to have another wee drop afterwards too:D
