bz - I am, but I'm getting moved out of it in a few months as they're demolishing most of the estate!
I have been told by a residents'-council member that I should get medical priority and get rehoused in the same area when they've built the new places, but I have no ideas what they're going to do with me in the meantime.

I hope they get you sorted quickly, Trialia. Not knowing is half the problemPurple Penguin Power!

Eeeekk Trialia....
Another crappy night last night, don't think I have had a proper nights sleep (as in one of my proper nights sleeps, aka 4-5 hours) for ages...it was just about an hour and a half last night, maybe less...the birds were singing before I went off! Legs were jumping all over the place, shoulder was hurting, the sciatica was being a begger and the spasms in my back were enough to send me to drink (I didn't as I had to drive early this morning for school run but god did I fancy one to try to deaden everything).
Eldest had an accident on his bicycle outside school yesterday, thankfully not too badly injured but it did give me a fright when he rang and said he was sat at the side of the road after coming off. His blooming chain had snapped while he was riding, not happy as his bike had just been in for a service and for his brakes to be sorted out and not sure what they have done but the bike is very eek now. He now sports an injured right hand (he is right handed and has 6 GCSE's this week and not all on a laptop!), injured right elbow, his hip partially came out (thankfully he was able to get it back in again at the roadside) a very large bruise and swelling to his lower right leg and for some reason, his left knee partially dislocated (that didn't hit the ground or get trapped anywhere).
I offered to take him up to the hospital to be checked out but after the last time I took him up and they refused to deal with him (little local hospital) because of the possible EDS or Marfans (at that time) and we had to trail around to the GP, he was very reluctant to go, especially now he does have his diagnosis.
I then offered to take him up to the big hospital.....he then came over all macho.
Life is never dull in this house! :rotfl:We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Hi all, Ive not been online much as my laptops died again, I can use the main computer which Im using at the moment, but only when DH isnt using it.
I went to a meditation workshop at the weekend so I should be all chilled out , however Im just worn out from doing it at the moment and stiff from sitting too long, it's amazing how tiring sitting down can be
LW I hope you had a relaxing weekend and are feeling a bit better now, you wont try that again will you !

*waves* Hi, all.
Thanks, folks, I'm more or less recovered from the Battle of the Back Lawn:D but had a flippin' migraine this morning, hence behind with the housework. Nowt to worry about though - we had thunder in MK, and that always seems to coincide with a migraine with me.
OMG SingleSue your lad doesn't do things by halves, does he? Hope he's OK now.
Trialia shame you're gonna have to move again - what a damned nuisance.
Ah, I hear the front door opening, that'll be Mr LW wanting feeding. Gotta go.;):DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Singlesue hope your lad gets on alright with his exams
Danni i know that feeling. I have crutches with ergonomic grips, but only cos i campaigned for them when i knackered my ankle in sept and kept them! I need to get an OT assessment done really and see what aids they can/will get me (and therefore will count as prescribed on things like DLA forms:cool:) I feel like i'm being naughty, somehow, if i use something they've not specifically told me

Chocolate sounds good- I've run out
I hope you feel better soon, ash4becks. Chocolate should help you sleep (well, it helps me)
I'm sitting here trying to work out if I can eat enough so I can take painkillers, as I'm in tons of pain. I'm not hungry though, and if I try taking them without food I get the most horrendous stomach cramps
Had a bad night last night. Ended up throwing all the wet clothes waiting to go in the dryer at my partner because I was fed up at life. I hate being cooped up, unable to go out and not really able to do anything.
I'm looking forward to getting my crutches and wheelchair tomorrow, but I'm scared of going out locally with them because people already think I'm weird and I feel like a fraud as I can walk without them, even though it causes me pain. I've not told any of my medical people how bad it is, apart from my CPN who said I didn't need them (though all she's seen me do is crawl up the stairs and walk around the flat).Purple Penguin Power!
