  • Well, going by that article Oscar we should all be fit and well! *g*

I am grumpy today as I have another ear infection brewing so back to docs again next week *sigh* I am soooo fed up with this on top of the "usual" problems I have. It's been nearly 3 months now. Enough already! I am rapidly reaching the end of my tether, but tomorrow is another day.

You see CWTA, getting grumpy is the best thing! It's good for you! You should be thinking "What the hell are these doctors being paid for if I keep catching every infection going?" and then you go in to the GP with the slightly amended "I'm sick of feeling sick, so let's talk about a pick-me-up and some strong antibiotics shall we?".

I don't recommend the "Do you actually know what's wrong with me or are we just clutching at straws?". After that, the GP is more likely to respond with "Let's change your entire set of meds shall we?" than actually fix the problem you've gone to see them about. They're better at doing "grouchy" than I am!!

I've been a very silly Wolf. Friday evening I thought I'd try and mow the back lawn. Now, it's not a big lawn, by any means, and the grass wasn't overly long.

Half an hour later, I'd done barely half of it, was shaking with fatigue, gasping for breath like an old grampus, and I finally had to admit defeat and let Mr LW take over.:(

Today I can still barely move, and can't move my right shoulder at all without screaming in pain.:(

I hope you're all doing better than me - or at least being more sensible!:o

  • That was rather a grouchy post of mine wasn't it Oscar :o
At least I didn't kick the cat or throw food at her *g*

lw Poor Wolfie. We fight to try to do something a bit normal and pay for it. Hope you are resting peacefully now and are in less pain.

I have someone coming tomorrow afternoon to help with last of DLA forms so I HAVE to do some housework today. I need to clean bomb the house.

Oh LW you poor thing, really hope that you're feeling much better and in less pain very soon! Don't go mowing any more lawns ;)

I put a deposit down on MY car today :D I love it! It should be with me by the end of the week, I just have to sort insurance out etc. It's a silver ford focus estate and the boot is big enough to live in! Or, you know, put wheelchairs in fully assembled ;) It's one step closer to being independent! I'm flippin knackered now as we went to Boots and Sainsbury's after (you know it's been too long since you went out when supermarkets are exciting ;)) so planning on a sleep this afternoon! x

Good evening everyone. Not posted for a few weeks after a little upset.
Been following the Sjorgrens Syndrome thread because I am waiting to have a Salivary Gland removed from my mouth to test for it.
Have had Dry Eye Syndrome and Blepheriatis for years, but the mouth has become so bad my Dentist has referred me to the Dental Hospital for the Salivary Gland Removal. there are other tests, but non are 100% accurate and apparently this is the most accurate way of testing.
Have read a few leaflets and its mainly women in
A huge percentage of people are never correctly diagnosed or have to wait many years. There is no cure only mangement of sympoms.

Does anyone know how to pronounce it correctly?

Has anyone else had a Salivary Duct removed for testing, I would be interested to find out more?

I've just ordered a wheelchair, crutches and a wheelchair cushion. Freedom here I come :)

Now to figure out how to hide them from my CPN, who insists I don't need them.
