I've had problems with neuros too. The first neuro tried to tell me what to do with my (health insurance) claim which is probably not the best thing to do when the patient has 22 years experience in the insurance industry. We didn't part on good terms. The second neuro was better, but he made massive assumptions over my symptoms and I had to keep correcting him. I'm waiting for an appointment to see number 3 which should be up at King's.
Neuros aren't gods in my case - they're more like busses........In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -
My rhuemi asked what I did for a living before, and I said i was a legal compliance auditor - health and safety, food safety, fire safety, etc, then asked him why? He said it was so they knew what my level of activity was before, so I told him I also used to play badminton every week and swim etc. When he wrote to my gp tho he said I was just an office worker! Which really reeeeally doesn't cover it because a) i didn't have an office and b) I was marching round the building/factory all day long checking everything out! It annoyed me greatly, so I can understand why the 22yrs in the insurance biz thing got to you oscar
It's like they attempt to listen, but actually fit it into their little boxes in their brain, then write a report based on what they think, rather than the truth. That annoyed me somewhat.
I got another letter actually today from him, with my blood test results - apparently my CRP level is 19 (and the normal level is below 10) and my CK level is 45....he's waiting for some more immunology results before writing again to my gp...does any of these figures mean anything to you guys? I looked up CRP and apparently that's to do with inflammatory markers and they look at that for RA? But not sure about the CK thing..?:huh:"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
Creatine kinase - can show muscle inflammation, I think. So far as I remember, that's in normal range but don't quote me on it!I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0

Good morning!!! It's Saturday - we have nothing to do today, so of course I was awake at 5am. Have left Mrs Grouch in bed. Coffee pot was all made up last night so all I've had to do is press the button. I've thrown food at the cats and taken some tablets, but my fingers have decided they don't want to work today.

I've found a car!
Going to see it tomorrow, it's a little more than I wanted to pay, but the mileage is good, it's nearby and I've had so much trouble finding anything I'm willing to pay it. Hoping to put a deposit down and get him to get it serviced.0 -
Hiya everyone!
Shoulder has been very bad since Wednesday and is continuing to be so....almost dropped bottles of alcohol (ok, I did drop bottles of alcohol) at the check out yesterday as moving my right arm, made my left shoulder hurt (go figure).
Hopefully the physio will address the shoulder on Monday.....until then, it is the V pillow to try to get comfortable in bed, painkillers and muddle through. It doesn't help I am left handed and my right hand is pretty useless as I have an unstable right wrist and arthritis in the fingers, coupled with the problem of having to physically look at my hand to make sure any item it is holding, stays being held.....my hand releases otherwise.
Why, oh why didn't I let go when I slipped on the stairs........mind you, I probably would have done my knees otherwise!:rotfl:We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

This hot weather is making me feel miserable. Hayfever means I can't stop sneezing, and the heat makes it even harder for me to move. It's not helping with the pain much either.
Other than that, I feel fineDoctor Who tonight

OK; most of the time I'm not that grouchy, but it's nice to have an excuse! In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0
