  • Good Morning Magenta - Here have some chocolate fingers to dunk in your hot chocolate.

I think it might have been Alto who had the microwave teddies - if you check out the first and second pages of this thread, he posted a link. (I'd do it myself, but my laptop is running so slowly that it would be lunchtime before I got back!)

Right, can someone keep the coffee perker topped up please?

    See you all later

    Daisy xx

microwave teddies, perish the thought!!! sorry wasna me....

i was a latent greaser ..... (sorry age thing)....

I'll make a cuppa for anyone still around....

    Hi Phil

I don't care that you are a 38 year old bloke who loves teddies - I think it is perfectly natural to like them and if you don't then you are somehow abnormal:rolleyes:

I have left my virtual pet dog outside (I have always wanted a real one but I live in flat and it wouldnt be fair). Please may I have a nice pot of English Breakfast tea and two toasted teacakes (I don't mind if they are slightly burnt)....pushes £4 across the counter (none of that soya butter for me).

Well I had to go out this morning - it was so cold that my central locking wouldn't work on the car:eek: I eventually got it open. I set off to Kings Heath to collect some twinlock crystal files that were offered last month (well, I have had the flu followed by a touch of bronchitis so I didnt want to pass it on). The kind lady sorted out a crate full of them and she kindly added some folders with wire spring clips in them. Now I can sort out my filing properly as I have stacks to do. Now..who said that setting up a business was a good idea? It's bloomin' expensive.

I am busy writing up notes for my various remaining assignments - I was speaking to a supplier of traditional victorian fairs today to get some ballpark figures to be included in my assignment for a money-no-object wedding. I am hoping to get an A for it.

Got to admit this thread has bought a few smiles and a few tears having read through so many posts.

As I said previously I was in a bad RTA back in 1984, but I guess I am one of the lucky ones (NOW) Sure I was hurt pretty bad and got turned dowm for DLA but I persevered and eventually got it, so I don't have to worry about that unlike so many others (ps. Thanks for all your help with that D.I.A.L.).

The medical profession told me I would be unlikely to survive past 10 - 15 years (in 1984) so I'm a ghost, but still able to type on my PC as you can see;) .

I was injured by someone else and it was completely their fault so I was able to take them to court, that meant I have a roof over my head and don't have to worry about paying for it, when I see some of the problems people on here have I feel sad that we are at this stage as a nation, its not right.

Instead of poking our noses in other countries business we should sort THIS countries problems out and that means help the people who need help (in my humble opinion) it just makes me so sad and angry at the same time!

Sorry I'll get off my soap box, I just think its wrong to see so many people suffer needlessly especially when I know were Mr Drink Driver not insured and an employee of the insurance company at that, I'd be in the same position.

Don't get me wrong the cocktail of tablets I take daily (all 20 plus of them) are not pleasant but according to the medical profession I'm not meant to be here so I'll take every day as it comes and be grateful for what I have (even if I don't always show it.)

Anyway I didn't ask yesterday but do I qualify as a member of the "not so old crocks club" I'm only just the wrong side of the half century so I'm not too old.

    Regards
  • Old Crocks - true no one has really defined an age limit. I don't feel old (most days) ....

You're only as old as you feel. Or as old as the man/woman you feel..... but I think we'll skip that, as Mr LW is 10 yrs older than me.:D

The usual coffee and carrot cake, please, then I'll do a spot of tidying and table-swishing. I see the cats have found their place by the fire.....

    Hi Rebel

Welcome to the motley crew that is the Old Crocks Cafe (I actually thought that the Old Crocks referred not to age but the crockery:rotfl: ).

You're a mighty fine looking ghost if I may say so (no offence meant). Medics don't have all the answers which is a good thing otherwise you nor I would be here.

I came to collect my virtual dog that I left tied up outside, sorry if he's been whining - I just know that he has been eyeing up the cats:eek:

Oy!! whose cat has left a trail of cat hair across the warm lap blanket (can't leave anything for a second in here!), sorry I am late in but the Virgin Media chap came to fix the modem (shiny new one now :j:j:j) and seeing as Dr Dragon needs to help me downstairs and into/out of the bath and I sleep in the buff (NOT a pretty sight I can assure you!) I HAD to stay in bed with a mug of tea and a good book :rotfl:.

Any way here I am and I am ready to take over behind the counter/in the kitchen for a while whilst those manning/womanning/wolfing/whatevering so far have a well earned rest and can get on with their hobby/job of choice (any one able to help Horace with the filing then?)
