CWTA, glad it went well for you, there is no mid-rate mobility, just high and low, high is more for mobility problems, have to be unable to walk more than 50m in general to get that, and lower rate mob. is more for if you need someone with you in unfamiliar places, maybe for anxiety or to prevent falls etc.
9 weeks for urgent appt is crazy! Hope it's not frustrating you tooo much!

Speaking of pets... I now have my Gemma-cat living with me :D and I love her to little bits, but ye gods, I'd forgotten how much she sheds! My laptop keyboard is full of fur! I'm going to have to get a can of compressed air and some cotton buds to clean it out, next week...

Aww, bless her. They seem to have an endless supply of fur, don't they? I always figured that Penny-Dog should've been bald, the amount of hair I kept picking up, but no, she always had more to shed.:D
Great that Gemma is home with you now.

    Hello all!
It started off really sunny and warm here but is now cold and horrid!
Itty bitty kitty got spayed this morning - poor wee thing. She is so pretty she would have had lovely kittens . . .
She hates the collar but bit her stitches as soon as she found them. She's quite bright and playful but seriously unco-ordinated with her cone on!! For the first hour or so she would only walk backwards.
Bought 2 chickens and roasted them - might let the kids have some!!!
Big boy, who pretends to be non-plussed by the kitty, chirped for her all morning.
    Hope all are well

Sending leave-the-stitches-alone vibes for Itty Bitty Kitty.:o
Better a bit of inconvenience and lack of co-ordination now, than an unwanted pregnancy later.:)
They are funny to watch in those collars - Penny-Dog hated it if she had to wear a "lampshade", bless her.

Hope everyone is well. I'm so cold here (this is highly unusual). I am normally the one throwing all the windows open.

LW - thank you so much for the veggie advice, I am doing fine now; have aquired a new stack of cookbooks & I've raided the library.
Mr Mouse is fine too, he has only pulled my legs a couple of times (wonders never cease) so I wish I had done this years ago.

Have a new little cat (I was sure it was a girl) now not so sure. Will have to take him/her to the vet soon as I don't know if Hat has had 'the op'. I did have a look at her 'bits' to see if he/she was M/F but felt embarassed for him/her!

I went to the pain management course today. One thing is puzzling me - they asked about abuse issues in the past. I did ask why and they said it has a relevance on how you deal with pain? I know I should have asked for more details, but can anyone explain what it means to me?

    Hi Mousey

Glad the veggie info was of help.:)

No idea why the pain clinic would ask about abuse issues; the one I attended certainly didn't, and I suffered awful abuse from my father as a child, and again from XH. Sorry I can't throw any light there; I'd be interested to know if you get any further info.

I believe it can be difficult to tell the sex of small kittens - probably best to get the vet to check, to be sure.

Hope everyone's having a good evening; Mr LW is doing his WiiFit+ exercises and I'm resisting the temptation to film him on my mobile phone.:rotfl:

Hello everybody, I'm feeling so low today almost tearful! I am suffering so much after struggling to clean the house for yesterday's house viewing. The couple who came to see the house were very nice and in the afternoon I had a call from the estate agents saying that they liked the house, they have only just started looking at houses - they want to buy to let. I had positive feedback but you can't read anything into that!

My body is really aching all over and muscle/tissue pain is bad and meds aren't making a difference. I'm feeling so weak and tired - I suppose this is the reason for feeling low!

Also since the care component of DLA was reduced to Low care it is only today that the payments have gone into my account since the change and there is such a big difference I'm going to struggle!

Perhaps it's my fault for not challenging the decision (which I now regret) because I was frightened they may remove/lower other component! The decision letter also arrived at the time I went into hospital for a major operation and so by the time I was strong enough getting over the op the time frame to challenge the decision had passed!

Since the op the ME is much worse the pain and other symptoms are dreadful, despite my GP trying different meds. The stairs have become more difficult and falls are more frequent - a couple now with loss use of legs for a short time. I know it also says on the award letter to contact them if anything changes that may affect my DLA -
if your circumstances change and you have less walking difficulties or you need more or less help with personal care you must tell us
I am just wondering whether to write to them explaining the changes in my condition and how it's affecting me?! Also tell them my intentions of moving from a house to a bungalow because of increasing difficulties and moving near family so that I have help with my care needs - which my GP supports.

Oh, I don't know ... I am rambling again sorry ... and such a long post! I should be just grateful that I am receiving DLA in the first place!

TOBRUK, so sorry you're feeling so rubbishy *hugs* for you! Definitely write to say that you are worse, has it been 3 months yet? Can you get dr to back you up to say that it's likely to remain for 6? I know we never know how long relapses will last, but if you were on the edge of MRC anyway... ramble ramble ;)

My headpain's incredibly bad today, I'm linking it to the coming off the pregabalin, I'm on 150mg daily now, and in a week it comes down to 100mg for 2 weeks, then nothing. However I'm still braving going out to Costa today with my mum and brother for a nice frescato and luunch! OUT THE HOUUUUUSE. If only I'd had my hair washed yesterday.... :o

Tobruk gentle ((((HUG))). Your pain is almost tangible in your post.:(
I can understand you being wary of writing to the DLA people, but my gut feeling is that in this case, you need to. Yes, feeling weak and tired will definitely make you feel low. I'm sorry the house viewing didn't have a more positive outcome, but try not to lose heart - that was just one couple; hopefully you'll get more viewers quickly. All I can suggest is that having got the house "up to scratch", try to keep it that way - use my motto of "don't put it down, put it away" for instance, then you'll not have a big clear-up to do before the next viewing. Take care, and chin up.;)

Invasion aww, sorry about the headache; hopefully a trip out will do you the world of good. I know what you mean about the hair; mine's decidedly skanky at the mo. We've scheduled washing it for tomorrow morning; Mr LW is working from home tomorrow, and can help me in between doing the early morning checks (he's an I.T techy) as he has to kick tasks off and wait for them to complete. Comes to something when you have to plan a hair wash in advance, doesn't it? *rolleyes*
