Bayblue, have no experience of the zip pulls, but wanted to say that you needn't apologise for asking here! :)

BZ, nice to see you! :)

I'm feeling pretty rubbishy still, and struggling mentally, I feel like my self confidence has dipped since I've not been able to "do" anything that makes me feel like I've achieved anything, not been to college in over a month and in bed 22+ hours resting, watching boxsets or listening to music. I imagine quite a few of you can relate, any tips? I did get out the house on tues to the pub 5 mins down the road, as they have nice big squishy sofas so I didn't have to sit up, had cheesy chips, was nice to be out, but didn't enjoy all that much, felt too ill, but good to gauge how I am.. Can't sit in wheelchair for more than 2 mins! As sometimes end up feeling like am skiving, even though I do know that I'm not.. Make sense?!

My walking's got worse too, normally I manage furniture walking round the house, or one crutch if I'm more dizzy or unstable than usual, but my legs are giving way- dad's caught me twice recently or I would've been on the floor and I'm waddling in the way I do if trying to walk unaided outside :o moan moan :p I finally gave in and said he can put a second banister in on the stairs he said "only taken you 18 months to say yes!" it'll be good to haul myself up from crawling to upright at the top of the stairs, and for balancing myself on the way down- either on legs or on my bum!

On the plus side I successfully identified and medicated a migraine early enough to stop it today :D *claps self* it's something that I've always struggled with, as it's so hard sometimes to distinguish between normal always-there-sharp-stabby head pain and the beginnings of a migraine, having great success with Rizatriptan, the first migraine med to work for me ever!

Hugs to all that need them, hope some of you had the sun we did today, nice to see blue skies!

Invasion (((BIG HUG))) I know that "useless" feeling, all too well. I wish there was something I could do/say to make it better.:(
But well done on stopping the migraine in its tracks; I'm so glad you've found something that works. They gave me Migraleve years ago, but I couldn't keep them down long enough to do any good (sorry if TMI).

Bayblue sorry, can't help with zip pullers; like you, I avoid back-fastening clothes, and I do have Mr LW to help me with dressing/undressing (not sure why, but he seems more enthusiastic about the latter *insert Confused smilie*):D
However, you're very welcome in the Cafe; pull up a chair, grab a coffee (or beverage of choice) and make yourself comfy.

*Waves* to everyone else - time I got off my bum and did some housework.;)

Hello everyone how are you all? Bayblue, I also avoid back zippers as I only have use of one arm I have to buy clothes, shoes etc you can wear to be able to dress one handed. I even do up my bras before wearing - just walk into them and pull up!! I had a look at the zip puller from your link (always looking out for anything that makes life easier) but not sure how it would work?! Lamewolf, your comment about Mr LW made me chuckle.:D

Invasion It sounds so familiar to me, you have my sympathy. I haven't been out of the house since a week last Sunday!

Well, I had a phone call this morning from the estate agent saying that a couple want to view tomorrow at 12pm! It's the first viewing. I put the house up for sale in November (reluctantly) because things have been so bad the past few months. My family live 100 miles away and because of my disability and illness, I need to move to be near them just incase I need help. I have a house (live on my own) and the stairs are really becoming a problem, so I need to move to a bungalow. The doctor agrees that it would be a good move and supports me in this - she assures me that any consultants, follow ups or whatever she will make sure that it is sorted to be seen back home.

I have been trying to clean the house today and I know that I have done too much (I was hurting before starting) and already suffering!

I really need another coffee now!!:)

I had to move back to be closer my family after parting from my ex and needing to have them close to help me with getting out and about especialy with my two girls still being very young.

It felt like a step backwards but I was so much happier and am now a lot closer with my Mum too.

Just bought a house with my boyfriend now but it was an auction buy so there's lots of work to do.

I have seen a bungalow back home (new build) within four miles to the family (parents, brother his wife and children, sister her husband and children, cousins and aunts, uncles etc!!) and it has nothing to do to it (obviously) has granite worktops, all white goods. It is very rare for this to come up back home (especially in my budget) as it is a very rural part of Wales (West Wales) and very near the coast.

I left the area to get work (as there is very little jobs there) but now ... well, I haven't been able to work for 10 years and probably will never again!

I moved away as when I got together with ex we couldn't afford to live by my Mum (she lives in gower, lovely beaches and not far from Swansea) so we moved to Neath but I always hated it.

We bought in an auction as it was our only way to afford a house down here but it means I'm constantly tripping over DIY stuff but it'll be well worth it in the end.

I don't work at the moment as with my limited sight it makes more sense to just be a full time Mum and play to my strengths but I'd love to write a novel one day as writting's my favourate way to fill what little spare time I get.

If you're not going to be able to work again then having all your family close should be a big support and good company. I hope you get the house you're hoping for, it does sound pretty perfect.

Oh thanks jetta_wales, yes it is quite perfect and it is still on the market. Having family nearby will make a big difference to me as I can go days when I don't see anyone and only speak when I'm on the phone to family. I do have a sister who lives about 40 miles away and she comes over to help me at least once a week when she has days off work. It does make me feel a bit of a burdon though! She shops for me, takes me to hospital appointments, does chores around the house, cooks me meals etc! I try to think of myself independant although I'm not really!!

I would feel sad leaving this house though as I've been here about 13 years, and it will be very strange moving back! I stayed this long as I was hoping that I would get better and be able to work but ....
