black paw, hope you get better soon, there's a lot of nasty colds and upset stomachs going around! It's been quiet on here today, I expect single sue is having a nap on the sofa!;)

I went to my GP this morning as the M.E. has been a lot worse since having major surgery 8 weeks ago! I don't get any pain relief day or night at the moment. It took me 2 hours to get myself together to get to the surgery this morning and was so glad to get back and get into my pyjamas as being dressed hurts my body!

I was taking baclofen, amitriptyline, co-codamol, Pregabalin 600mg a day, and lanzoprazol. She is now trying me on D.H.C 120mg twice a day (which is slow release) and Paracetemol 500mg (instead of co-codamol) as well as taking the other meds, so will have to see how it goes.

I also had to tell her of my recent fall which left me on the floor and unable to move my legs at all for a few minutes (the second time it has happened), when I was able to move them I tried to get up but fell forward hitting my head against a wrought iron gate! She asked if I wanted to see a neurologist to see what was going on but I wasn't sure, I have seen so many consultants and hospitals recently ... anyway, she is ordering an MRI scan so if something shows up she'll probably refer me after.

CWTA, hope things are a bit better with you. Invasion, I hope you are keeping your spirits up.

Hi to everyone else and hope you're having a not too bad day!;)

I got it from the gift shop stuff on butyoudontlooksick.com They've a few gooduns ;) And it represents the crap I get from some of my "nearest and dearest" more often than it does strangers reactions! ;)

If you haven't read the Spoons Theory on that site, you really need to. It helped me come to terms with my conditions and helped me to explain them to people too :)

Bit fed up this morning - had to cancel this morning's viewings due to the snow. I skidded yesterday in the car trying to get out of our estate so not going to risk it. Noboby seems to want to drive out first -its like a ghost town!
Just the trek up to my car is a nightmare - I'm a bit unsteady on my legs which has knocked the confidence out of me - I SO need somewhere with easier acces!! Topped by a bad night and consequently waking up feeling as carp as when I went to bed . . . . Moan over!!!
Sorry to ask Bigzippy but have you got Lupus too? You don't have to answer - I am just being nosey (in a nice way)
I loved the website 'But you don't look sick' - I wish people could 'try out' Lupus for a few days before telling me "it can't be that bad, you're always on the go!!"
Couldn't download 'The Spoon Theory' - will try again later.
Anyway I wish you all a good day - may we all achieve everything we set out to do!

  • TOB, hope the med change is of some use to you! I need to go back to dr's as the pregabalin is making me feel as if I'm hungry even when I'm not and it's annoying and not nice to have to spend whole day trying to resist eating extra! And want to up Ami some more too, aswell as have another try at getting him to prescribe me something better for my pain than tramacet and diclofenac.

Had a lovely day with a friend yesterday, she was here for around 4 hours, after around 2 hours my head started to explode but I *cleverley- NOT* ignored it and told mum I was fine ;) Was in bed the whole time but obvs. as you all know just having someone new to talk to was exhausting enough in itself, went back to bed after tea for a rest, and fell asleep at 7.30! Woke up at 1am very confused and wondering why I was still in my clothes and not jamas and then slept till 9.30 this morning. Woke up feeling ok, but fever-ish-ness is kicking in now, why that decided it needs to make an appearance every time I over do it I have no idea?!
