bigzippy, hi and thank you.:) It's like bumping into an old friend ... kind of! How are you these days? I remember you were on that fibro thread which just disappeared - whatever happened to it ... or shouldn't I ask? Sorry too much to answer on your phone!! ;) I haven't gone to bed yet - taken my meds over an hour ago but so far no relief .. that is not a good sign. Anyway, hope you get to sleep soon and maybe we can have coffee sometime soon.:D
Lol I know what you mean. I'm ok, much of a muchness really, still trying to find the right balance between overdoing it and going up the the wall with boredom ;)
The Fibro thread got shut down, essentially, under the guise of being too "off topic".:silenced: :shhh: Apparently we were too cheerful and didn't focus on being ill enough ;) They tried to set up a new one...but there were so many restrictions that it was easier to come in here, and some of us are on facebook too. Twas distressing..but we're finding our way:)
I got to sleep eventually ;)

And Happy belated Birthday Trialia :D

    Hello Ladies & Gentlemen

Forgive me for invading your lovely Cafe, I'm not disabled but I have a small question and when you see it you'll know why it doesn't really deserve it's own thread.

Does anyone have any experience of zip pullers?

Due to scoliosis I can't lift my arms much above my head. Anyway, this is no problem, or wasn't until my company issued new uniform tunics which have a long zip at the back, which consequently I can't do up. I never buy dresses or tops with back zips for that reason but now we have to wear them and the top can't be altered in any way (I've tried) so I'm a bit stuck.

I can get them off OK but because I live alone I have to wear it undone under my coat and get a colleague to zip me up when I get to work. Fine for the winter but I need to sort something out for when the weather warms up, I cannot get on a bus like that :o.

I've seen a couple of the 'pullers' online and they look like just what I need, but do they work? I can't see how they get enough tension to pull the zip up.

Apologies once again for butting in.. Any advice or recommendations would be most welcome. Thanks
