I'm sick of the pain, and the stiffness, and the trying so hard to be normal so as not to make a fuss and pretending I can do stuff when I can't

  • Hi All,

Hope that everyone is getting over the bumps, falls and bad days we all seem to be sharing!

I am just popping in while im at work, have just got back from the Dr and am a but annoyed but more than that, i think its made me accept that medically, there is not much that can be done other than pain killers to sort me out.

Went into the surgery taking naproxyn and dihyrocodine, left with a script for amitriptaline, slow release dihydrocodine, naproxyn and omeprazole.

Now, i did actually go in to specifically ask if i was able to come off all of the tablets to enable my body to fight as much as possible and to see what kind of pain im in day to day without the medication.

The fact that i have left with more medication than i went in with is a bit scary mary.

Hope everyone is in a better mood than me, im fed up!

    Puzzled xx

    Oooohh choccie.....

Not too bad here today, shoulder is still a problem but back is a lot better (well my better anyway).

Ended up having to take eldest to the hospital yesterday as the silly aputh fell on his butt on concrete and damaged his coccyx (sp?).

Central heating engineer here at the moment as my heating failed a week and a half ago, he came out then and and said it needed a new part and is back today with the part...it's not going well, new part in and central heating still not working!

Ahh, he is now going to try to replace something else.....
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

  • lw Nope. You are here for the duration. You mustn't leave us - I wouldn't know what to do if you did! *g*

pcl I initially said that I thought thread shouldn't be closed as I feared for the more extreme posters, but to be frank, a lot of the posts on there scared me and this isn't the place to be dealing with such issues. You are right and put it far more eloquently that I could ever have.

I too am a great believer in ""Choices". Even if you do nothing that is a choice. Breathing in and out is a choice.

If I can get enough done and out of the way today I may make my fave lemon drizzle cake and I'll share.

Nope it wasn't thankfully, he obviously feels a little bruised and battered in that area but the pain killers seem to be having the required effect. He is back at school today and so far, no phone calls from the school.

I suppose with all the mystery surrounding what exactly is wrong with his joints etc, he got in a little panic and wanted it checked out, even though there is nothing they can do for it.
