Well, I've made it through my first week back at work! And tomorrow I am working from home, so will get to sleep in, yay!

It's been freezing cold today, playing havoc with my joints. :/

Hope all is well with everyone!

  • Hi all :o

I wondered if I might post in here rather than start a new thread as I thought perhaps some of you might be clued up. I know Black Paw's name from the depression thread and she was always nice to me :o

I just need a little advice on ESA, the actual claiming of it etc, for my OH, we've had a load of conflicting letters from DWP and I don't even know if he's been awarded it??? Certainly nothing's gone into the bank.

I won't witter on but if anyone can help please shout, ta :A

    Everyone is welcome. :)

Sorry Pauper Princess, I don't know anything about ESA, but didn't want you to think I was ignoring you.

  • hi sandy.

pp only advice i ahve really is contact dial in your area (google dial uk and use their search to see if there is one in your area) and seek their advice. theyre really clued up on everything like that. if no dial then try citizens advice.

alternatively check out the site benefits and work, they have lots of info available, though their guides require membership which is 16or 18 quid a year, but is well worth it in my opinon. they wont advise on individual cases though only general stuff as its too much of a minefield.

i have no experience of esa to call on to offer anything more.
  • Thanks for your replies guys! Will try the dial search in a minute. Not sure if it's worth joining that pay-site to be honest - I have a feeling that even if he is entitled to it at the moment he won't be once he's had the medical or whatever he has to go through - no idea!!!

All very baffling ha ha! Thanks again xx
