Glad it was nothing serious, Sue :)

Lemon drizzle cake sounds , CWTA.

I bought some crunchy cracklepops from M&S. Very    Not so great for the waistline though, so had better share :D:o

Can I just say in my own defense, that when I started the Black Dog thread, I stated that I was suggesting a place to share coping strategies, particularly ones that don't cost money. It seemed to mutate into a whole other animal entirely.

I shall go away now and keep my trap shut

    Hi LameWolf
I posted on the Black dog thread for a while but I have to say I was probably the most positive person on there. It was a really good idea so don't put yourself down.
I actually found it quite depressing (ironically!!) as I didn't know what to say in response to a lot of the posts and I suppose (a little bit selfishly) I was very relieved that I didn't feel as dark as some of the people on there.
I like to have a little moan about how carp my illness is then move on and talk about something more interesting. I really don't like to dwell on it.
When it comes to others I'm the same - have a moan, I'll offer some sympathy, a bit of advice and lots of encouragement but at the end of the day we all have to get on with it.
I suppose thats the difference between the slight depression I have and the very serious mental health probs that so many on that thread were dealing with. I'm sorry its gone and wish everyone on it the very best.
I might pop in here from time to time - what qualifies you as an old crock?

Well, a lot of us have physical disabilities, mental health issues, are carers, etc, but anyone is welcome! It's a bit more positive in here (well usually, a lot of us have had falls and things in the last few weeks, so there might be a bit of bruised complaining going on!!)

General chit chat is very welcome here!

Sometimes it is nice to come on here and have a moan. When someone says "how are you?" you nine times out of ten have to say "fine thanks." Sometimes it would be super nice to say "Well, everything hurts, my back is in spasm, I'm struggling to keep my eyes open and I got two hours sleep last night. You?" Which is why it's nice to pop on here and say that, and no one will judge you! But it's then nice to follow that up with a chat about nothing!

    So, welcome!

    Thanks Jazabelle!
I'm a busy, single mum of 3 fantastic kids who I'm very proud of and I do like a little boast every now and then! I'm basically a homebody - don't go out much as I have Lupus. It takes all my energy to do what I do!!
Be nice to pop in for a coffee sometimes - you all seem like a nice bunch!!

I'd be proud too, if I had three children!

I understand that, I have a similar condition. :) I'm sure others on here have mentioned having Lupus, but not sure.

    Please do stop by!

Just popping in to wave ;) I seem to have had a relapse or a blip and am feeling awful, spending at least 22 hours in bed most days and unable to use laptop much which is the worst thing!

Nice to see you again PCL :)

Hugs to all feeling bruised and battered!!

Can I please make a positive remark about getting older? At least it means if I fall over and hit the decks no one assumes I am drunk anymore , instead they all assume that I have fallen over for a reason and come and help.

Incidentally I have no illness that makes me fall over, I just do , it is a combination of several minor little irritations.

And I'm in my early 20's, so they just step over me. ;)

I have the benefit of a few more years that you, it does sometimes have advantages.
