I'll be back later to open the bottle of fizz I've been saving - it's our 36th wedding anniversary today, we must think more alike than I realised, we've both bought mobile phones as presents!!!!
Cold frosty morning here in South Yorkshire, is the porridge ready yet?

Happy Anniversary!!! (hmm have I got time to make a quick cake?!) - oh I guess so!

Oh if I go missing it is because our modem is packing in and we keep losing connection! Meantime hot chocs are in the corner over there and I am just making another round of sarnies!

Hello playmates, how lovely to see so many new faces, welcome to our world peeps
    :smileyhea

Its snowing heavily here - so me and the cat are having a duvet day (hope no-one minds me poddling around in my red thermal pj's :-)

Alto please can I have a big bowl of treacle pud and custard - I need something to insulate me from the cold (actually, I could do with losing several layers of padding - but I'll worry about that come the spring!)

Oh..... ideas.... extra thick chicken and veggie soup please!

    Daisy x

No problem about the pjs :rotfl:, after all I have my nice warm "Feet of Sheep" (I may be veggie but I get seriously cold feet and so I have sheepskin slippers on!)

Yep - thick soup (almost stew) added! I will do three, one veggie, one chicken and one beef!

Thank you for your good wishes everybody, I'll just leave the fizz here (there's non-alcoholic too) for anyone who wants it. Just been informed we're being taken out for dinner tonight. No cooking and even better no washing up!!:j Cheers all

Well I popped in earlier but had some computer problems - seemingly now fixed.

It was lovely and sunny when I went out this morning for real milk, a newspaper and dunking biscuits (I had some longlife milk last night but it made me as sick as a pig:rolleyes: ). Came home and it went very gloomy, so I have had to put the lights on:rolleyes: At lunchtime it started to rain heavily and then turned into snow which seems to have stopped for now but I must admit I did like to see the huge white flakes floating past my window:D

Home made soup for me tonight methinks (basically it is the 'gravy' left over from when I did boiled beef n carrots the other day, the gravy wouldnt thicken so I ate what I wanted with my dinner and froze the rest so I will sling in some frozen mixed veg when I heat it up and have it with some crusty bread),

This jam roly poly is divine - it reminds me of the delicious one we used to have at school. The custard is rather tasty too....burp..
