How did your little one get on Sue
Good tip Lone, i always do that, but then always forget still lol
At the moment i am uber scared, off to see the neurologist tomorrow and really dont know what they are going to say or do or anything and very nervous. I kinda only realised this morning that a neurologist is a BRAIN SURGEON and that although the reccomended i didnt have an operation on my back they may suggest that i have an operation on my brain and thats kinda freaked me out
But, there is nothing i can do until tomorrow so im going to eat chocolate and try to get rid of the back pain with tv and tinternet.
Hope all are well and are getting through the last of the snow ok
Saucy, hope you are doing ok!

Hi Lonewolf and puzzled
Yep, I remembered to take the report but what a palaver that was! We got caught up in red tape with the paediatrician not wanting to do the referrals citing GP's being annoyed so to take it to the GP, so we did and the GP got annoyed with both the physio and the paediatrician for said red tape....and we were stuck in the middle.
Puzzled - My eldest will laugh at the description of little one...he's nearly 6ft tall! He's 16 and only seeing the paediatrician as the referral was done a month before his birthday, which also causes problems with referrals as for new services, he is having to be referred as an adult which the child service is finding rather awkward...still the paediatrician is doing a referral to a geneticist (which she said she was doing last time, lets see if she does this time), the GP a referral to the shoulder physio specialist and to a hand specialist and our list of people to see is growing bigger!
At some point, someone needs to do a referral to a rheumatologist but not sure my diary could take it!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Hope everyone is doing okay.
I have awful neck pain, not sure what I've done. It's driving me crazy. I mean my neck has hurt constantly for 11 years, but this is way worse than normal. Also exhausted but slept for 18 hours last night! Still had to force myself to get up and been tired and shaky all day.
Have to go to work tomorrow.Am also going from 2 days a week to 4 from next week as I start my second job back up. Am completely dreading it - I'm a wreck working two days, four is going to kill me. Also hate the job.
Sorry for the whining. Off to bed now."There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -
I'm sorry I'm utterly rubbish at reading through at the moment! Hugs and strength for you Jaz!
Puzzled, I mainly use a wheelchair so I don't use my crutches all that often, just for short distances under 50 metresI also have ergonomic grip, so they're shaped for each hand to spread the weight, they were from OTstores.co.uk, and they're TURQUOISE!
with pink shoes!
I went to Hereford yesterday which was an hour and a half journey there, and 2 hours back, for my EMG, I'm negative for Myasthenia!yesterday I felt a bit down about the whole thing, I think I was just so exhausted, and a little disappointed in some ways, cos there was a chance of treatment meaning my muscles working properly again, but it just hit me and I'm pleased. However, means we're back to square one, I'm not going to let the ME diagnosis stop them investigating properly... Neuro said herself my muscles don't behave like other ME patients of hers!
The test was horrible, needles right next to my eye, and I still can't think about the noise of the needle going through to the muscle without feeling weirdshe just jammed it right in, it hurt quite a lot and I'm used to needles as are we all! Then everytime they ran the current the needle would jam in and out of the muscle. Ergh.
I did however get a very good morrison's southern fried chicken wrap out of it, and I enjoy being with mum, plus I managed nearly an hours sleep on the way back and with v pillow and another pillow plus blankets I managed to get comfy on the way home.
Have spent pretty much whole day in bed as expected, but went to stand in the snow before it all starts to melt, and found seeing my crutches own teeny tiny shoe prints in the snow pretty cutethey work very well for grip by the way.
I may not be able to read, but I can still typehugs for all that need them! x

waves to everyone
lamewolf, i also put things by the front door if i need to take them with me, if i have to trip over them to get out im not going to forget them ...in theory lol i have still been known to move things so i can open the door forgetting why they are in the way. was nice talking to you the other day
jazz hope your feeling better this morning, goo dluck with work today and with starting up th enew job again next week.
anyone heard anything of sharon or from morag, dragon and suep?0 -
hope everybody is feeling ok today
gotta take my eldest son (13) to the hosp to see the specialist about his failed ear op, had his ears pinned back in sept and he took a bad reaction to the silk stitches they used (took til december for it to react) and until recently i had to take him to the hosp every 2 days for dressings changes until they decided i can do them at home for him instead lol works out easier and less tiring for me as its usually a 2hr round trip by the time i collect him from school and drop him off again
also off to the quacks later to see about diff pain meds as neither the diclofenac or flurbiprofen are workingalso gonna see about a dodgy mole
so its gonna be a long and tiring day here, just hope the pavements are a bit clearer and safer to walk on now0 -
Glad it's not Myasthenia Invasion! The tests sound horrible though.
I've often wanted it to be something, even if it's horrible, just so there is a route of treatment - so I understand you feeling sad it's not Myasthenia.
Yay the grips are working! I suppose I better order one before they realise the postage is wrong!
Thanks lamewolf! It's a bit better today. Only got a few hours sleep last night, so am shattered. Have to attempt to stay awake at work!
Hope the doctors help nanamoo. I don't think either of those are painkillers though, aren't they anti-inflammatories? Which is why they probably aren't helping on the pain relief. Ibuprofen is a good one, as it offers pain relief and is an anti-inflammatory. You can get stronger ones from the doctor.

suep is OK, just not really into posting at the moment. I think she had a hectic run up to Xmas with some family problems and is busy recovering. Will tell her she was asked after. It'll perk her up a bit
I'll PM sharon - she's been in my thoughts a lot recently.
Don't know about Dragon, will you come and wave at us pleasse?I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
hi jazabelle, according to my doc they are pain killers and anti-inflammatory , he says the flurbiprofen is a stronger version of ibuprofen, but hopefully he will give me something later that will help me more
but on a good note, 99% of the ice has gone from here so i can use my stick again lol so i got less chance of falling over and doing somersaults0 -
Sorry I am around but I have been trying to limit my computer time and get some stitching done (I'm sure you all know how being on here can eat the time away!)
